Whenever we drive through Shreveport, we drive THROUGH Shreveport. We don't stop there. They have casinos (which is the attraction) but Louisiana (and Mississippi to its east) are some of the poorest states in the south. Just saying...

Says the guy driving, probably to or from Dallas. Only thing rich about you is in your name😂. You aren’t wrong, but I’m betting your house is of a similar glass construction. ETA: I wouldn’t stop in Shreveport, either.

Recently found your channels and love the content. You are pretty brave to have flown on that Embraer 120 from Dar es Salaam. The oldest plane I ever flew on was a Grumman Goose flying to Catalina Island. not THAT was an interesting flite, as we watched the pilot fighting the controls on lift off from the water.

During my flight training, I encountered a thin marine layer en route to our destination. Ask asked my flight instructor if I needed to deviate from our course due to "the clouds." My flight instructor said, "If you can see through it, it's not a cloud." (It was a super thin layer and I definitely could see through it, but as a student, I was paranoid about getting too close to anything that roughly resembled a cloud because of the VFR rules in the FARs. Lol.)

Hi Noel, we enjoy all your videos and have been following you for years. Much of our enjoyment comes from hearing what you have to say and over the last few months the music has often completely overpowered your words. We want to hear you please. We could hear music anywhere but we want to hear you. It isn’t that we don’t want music in you videos but we want to hear you primarily.

Yo Noel! That video was awesome! Wow 🤩 Shreveport Downtown Airport looked amazing however those clouds didn’t look like fun! I don’t like clouds as they’re bumpy to fly through, they kill all your visibility and they’re a pain! Especially in my Cessna 172 trying to climb over say 10,000 ft then I’ll be stuck surfing in the clouds! 😂 Still someday when I come to Texas and visit Houston we have to try to fly together someday soon! Especially in the Cirrus SR-20 what a fabulous new and modern airplane compared to my 51 year old Cessna 172 with steam gauges! 😂 I love the newer cockpits they’re all glass but yeah let’s try to fly together someday when I come to Houston! Finally did you know your video description says to Arkansas not Oklahoma! 😂 😁

Considering South African English was strongly influenced by British English, it's not a surprising mix-up. We have many different English accents here and some speak more British sounding than others.

Noel, you'll have great fun with the Instrument training. Did you get a full FAA licence or will this be added to your CAA one? If no FAA full licence, do the Commercial as well. It'll be a breeze and well within your capabilities.
@FlyWithNoelPhilips Жыл бұрын
It'll be added to my FAA licence. I'm actually planning Commercial for when I've done the IR and potentially multi as well in the future :)

Frankly, your UK instrument rating is not an IFR rating, so it’s normal the US won’t recognize it.

Noel, first time viewer and ATP. Safety suggestion… when adjusting your 4 point harness first connect the lap belt and snug it up, THEN insert the two shoulder straps (which are on an inertia reel and self adjust). The lap portion looks very loose as evidenced by how high the buckle has risen up on your tummy. In the event that the harness had to do its job you run the risk of submarining under the lap belt defeating the protection that the 4 point harness is intended to provide.

Noel your not old enough to remember "Hanky Panky", it was snack in UK made of peanuts covered in caramel, was only around for a few years in the late 70's. Best thing about them was the adverts with Arthur Lowe (captian Mainwaring) in them. Have to say i like my nuts to be salty and savoury.
