The other cool thing about the Trueno package is that all the parts like the breaks and shocks are designed to be swapped onto the the regular GR86. So if you are unlucky to get your hands on the outrageously marked up 860 Truenos, you can still get the performance. Love the Trueno blue of this one.

I loved this review as the owner of a 2022 Limited automatic Subaru BRZ. The only interesting fact about these cars I would like to add to Sarah's review is these relatively low priced cars have the exotic feature of aluminum front fenders, hood, and top. I chose the BRZ over the GR86 because reviews indicated the BRZ is better for tracking a low lap time on a race course, whereas the GR86 is "more tossable" as in drifting.

I've been waiting for this review! Trueno package looks fantastic! I'm actually considering a GR86 Premium right now, versus base Golf GTI or base WRX, and GR86 is the most expensive option of them (and that's why I'm still thinking). Speaking of special editions, Toyota will be making special editions of their GR models every year. For 2023 they have 10th anniversary GR86 and A91 package for GR Supra. For 2024 they'll make 45th anniversary GR Supra (with adjustable rear spoiler nonetheless), GR86 Trueno edition, and GR Corolla Circuit Edition - all limited production.

I don't know why the manufacturers of Boxer engines don't use the dry sump system, to eliminate the problem of oil starvation during sustained cornering or drifting... just saying

I’m both a Cynophile as well as a ailurophile. I had for a time both growing up together at my home in Colorado. I have a 2017 86 with the 2.0L boxer 4. The best way to smooth out that hp and torque dip is to replace the stock exhaust header with a uneven exhaust header. It makes that wonderful sound and no dip that my butt dyno could perceive. Great vid! Hope to see more. 👍🏻
