@@kerckmars Not really true. If you want to be the absolutely best healer in the game, then roll a priest, but a paladin is a better teammate all-round, and is a completely different playstyle in PvE and PvP.

I like to think of it as balanced imbalance. Everyone has their own niche but every niche is equally important. Classic is by no means a perfect example of this but what we have is much better than balance via bland same-y ness

Info true mmorpg there shouldnt be balance or a forced role. Peoples should have choice if they want to play as competitve pvp fighter or a pve farmer etc. Also the whole "class" thing is old and bad design. Balance should be player driven, but it may work only in HUGE sandbox mmo without forced class progress mechanics.

If I remember correctly, I believe sites like thottbot were available even before launch to help you out with quest locations. They just eventually added it to the game. web.archive.org/web/20040925034719/thottbot.com/ almost 2 months before launch and some activity before then. A lot of it was also exploring/figuring stuff out as well.

Tip of the day: Don't worry about min-maxing and picking the best race/class combo. Just do not sweat it. For the vast majority of people, this will never matter as much as you think it will. Unless you are specifically aiming to raid, and for raiding to be the focus of your experience, do not sweat it - raiding was such a tiny, tiny part of vanilla. Roll what you feel like rolling; be what you want to be. Except gnomes. If you play as a gnome, it is scientifically proven that you are a bad person.

A note on resto druids, I don't remember a lot of gear worth it in leatherworking. I preferred alchemy for the boost to potion effectiveness.

@@Ascketism Np :) I would add however that pre raid, our BIS is a shoulder made by tribal lw. Though, there are alternatives so I'm not sweating that XD Alch is better for sure, get that nice tricket crafted and pots will be more efficient.I'm actually gonna do enchanting/alch, and a second druid will have herbalism, and all my alts will have alch for the cooldowns >D Victoryyyyyyy!
