I cant believe how much my back has changed and developed since finding Mike a year or so ago. Biggest thing is full range of motion, fully opening your lat and keeping shoulder locked down, initiate movement with elbow crack. Oh and weight on your feet to keep your arch locked. Lets not forget head position. Mike is the GOAT.

Thanks for the videos. At 56 yrs old, never had a gym membership in my life, not touched a weight in years, spent a year doing everything wrong. Went from 14" arm to 14 1/4" after a year of hard work but not smart work. BUT NOW, after a year watching your channel now have 15 1/2" arms, less body fat, bigger thighs.... Nothing big in the world of 20" arms but made me happy. Thanks 👍

Mike is the one true god. Im probably only getting about 20% of his advice right, but last night I felt every part of my back like never before, would call it even a pump. And I did it with bands. Fairly light bands. (you definitely cant have an ego playing with brightly coloured rubber :) Unbelieveable. Used my actual back to pull properly, probably for the first time ever. Although he's very humble, Mike seems to be unique and I am inspired by his style, wisdom and approach. I find myself questioning everything even more, in all sorts of subjects. I find myself thinking "what would Mike do?" . God bless this man.

That's why I left deadlifts alone years ago because it was developing and strengthen my erectors and I had to abandon deadlifts and develop my lats and mid back with various exercises and the results were astounding after that!

“My back needs to grow now I’m deadlifting twice a week” 🤣🤣. OASN I’ve learned to lighten the weight and focus on the movement and working the target muscle properly. My legs are tiny and I wish I had this information when I started lifting. Thanks for all you do Mike!!

8:45 holding a dumbbell in midair while curling the other dumbbell. I agree with Mike that the hold is dumb and a waste. Charles Atlas sold over a million of those static contraction/hold/isometric courses over 75 years ago and it didn't work to add muscle. So my point is F all extra holds with weights.

Dorian did his Yates rows at a higher angle which you demonstrated, but it wasn't to target the lower lats; I think he said it was more middle and upper back thickness.

I respectfully disagree RE: cuff laterals. For me, since doing them in whatever variation, the size of my delts has increased a great deal, and my shoulders feels healthier. I can’t argue with those results, or those of Jordan Peters, Cuba C, Jamie the Giant’ etc. Just my personal opinion and preference

I haven't finished the video, So I don't know if he addresses this. But what about laterals within a functional trainer when you're standing. I know the laying down option is he described it is less than optimal but what about standing within a functional trainer?
