Based on current rules, you would have only gotten 1 regen roll for your retcon as the other 2 hits were due to Rending and negate regeneration. I had to laugh at this as I also have to beg my wife to play my "silly games" with me. lol She actually lasted quite a few sessions in D&D recently but finally bowed out because the sessions were anywhere from 3-5 hours. That was a good game and your wife is a good sport. And, she let you film her! I have two observations that might make your life easier. Someone may have already said this if they did I apologize. Get a dice tray. It give you a place to roll the dice and keeps them from going all over. If you can't find one in a store or online you like, they are cheap and easy to make and you can involve the kids in this craft project. Mine has a princess sticker on one side. The kids can even make their own since you are going to get them involved someday. I know you are the GrimDark Guy. That is how I found you and I subscribed. That being said, you might want to try a different rule set for a skirmish game for beginners. I use the Terminator Genisys Miniatures Game by Rver Horse/Warlord Games. The line died due to the poor reception of the movie, but the game is awesome. You can download the beginer's rules for free, and if you like them, you can get the get a print copy of the full rulebook. The game is tactical, but has very simple mechanics. My wife learned how to play watching me play versus an AI during lockdown. I have also taught several others how to play very quickly and it perfect for conventions. Did I mention that I never play using Warlord miniatures? I use what I have on hand and you could easily use your Necrons as Terminators with almost no tweeking. And, there are vehicles rules in the full rulebook, and fun things like overwatch. There is nothing like watching your Space Marine blast your opponent as they run by guys in overwatch. Liked the video, and keep up the good work.

Hi Wyloch + everybody. Do you ever think there ought to be a 'retreat if possible, die if you can't' possibility when morale fails - an outcome somewhere between Pinned and Rout? Sometimes units run away, and even perhaps regroup when they feel better. Other thought: how would it be if victorious units sometimes _had_ to charge the nearest enemy if their morale became too high? Regards to all, all

Yay, wife cameo! I'm trying to get my wife into Star Breach and Malifaux. Could you please do a video on tips for getting your wife into wargaming (excluding Father's Day traps)?
Never bothered to look into High Elf Fleets army book before. Those Distortion Guns, are they even for real? 12 range(so like a pistol or a flamethrower), 6 attacks with Rending which means they have AP of either "f*ck all" or "f*ck you and your power armor too". I am confused.

Exactly. They simulate the molecule-thick projectiles that the guns fire out. Either they are blocked, or they cannot be blocked, totally depends on luck.

Wyloch - Excellent batrep! Your wife must be commended - she was patient, composed, and only used “The Look” a couple times (and honestly, you deserved it😄). A couple questions as I left the 1Pg40k camp a few years ago and am now getting back into GDF... 1. I *love* the force lists you made (seen at 1:24) - is there a template I could “borrow”, 2. I might have mis-interpreted the rules and what I saw in the vid - hits from Deadly weapon are all inflicted on one model but hits from Blast weapons can be applied across multiple models in a unit, right? ...and... 3. Do you have a video covering how you painted your Necrons? They look *good*! 👍🏻 TIA! - Larry

1) Here - drive.google.com/file/d/1QVmX4gVi4nyFSKONIQWxRJM3S0FCY_Dw/view?usp=sharing 2) Correct 3) I do not. Simple though....base in black. Airbrush dark green, green, lime, and yellow in descending intensity to make the "blooming" areas. Hand-brush some gold on the details. Done.

Wyloch - Many thanks for the info and the template! While I’m being a pain in the back-side... your activation & status chits look *great* - did you make them yourself or purchase them? I’d be keen to get a set. Even just a jpg showing what the set of chits looks like would give me enough to make my own. TIA! - Larry
