Yeah, companies are literally selling us save slots and gunsight dots for real money nowadays, not in-game currency. And especially now that more and more games are bought digitally, rather than a physical copy, companies have complete control over who and how many people have access to paid content. Gamestops will soon go the way of the Blockbusters. The future has bright and dark spots. It's all about doing the right thing. And as consumers, especially as gamers, we have no shortage of opportunities to band together and take the moral high ground even when it's not the easy choice. Especially when.

Exactly. Not only that but their exclusives have been garbage anyway. Quantum Break was a glitchy mess. It was supposed to be a Television Show Meets Video Game and it failed at that cause the acting and story was absolute shit. I bought the console all hyped for Gears 4 and 5 and they were garbage, nothing like the original trilogy. I played many more exclusives and I wasn't happy with them at all. Sold my One X and bought a 360 Elite again.

But after that, there’s this thing I like to call the “Metal Gear Solid 4 effect.” After that game got released, all PS3’s exclusives were just badass. MGS4, Uncharted 2/3, The Last of Us, etc. I remembered getting tired of my 360 and saying “man, all of the cool games are on PS3, also my 360 is having fucking RROD again... why am I still sticking to 360?” So yeah, idk if we can use the word “bland” considering PS3’s “blandness” had a waaaaay better catalog. PS3 just had the problem of being expensive as fuck on release, but it aged like fine wine... and ended up being better than the 360 imho.

Long long time ago, games came on cartridges. cartridges were super easy, We lent, borrowed, shared between friends. Then came along CD, but that wasn't any different than Cartridge. You pop the CD in console/PC. Enter the serial on PC and play. We brought games, contributing money with my friends, we all played and enjoyed them. On PC we can all play at the same time even. Then games on PC started requiring you to have the disk inside the drive in order to play the game. After a while, you needed to activate the game via internet before you can play. Now you need to download a software, give it your info, have it running it all the time on your PC, looking into your shit and stuffs, then and only then you can play the game. Near future - You'll need to enter your DNA, fingerprint and Eye scan into the computer/console. Then it will charge you $2 every time you launch the game, additionally charging $.25/hour. They will call it revolutionary and groundbreaking BIVPPP. Suckers like me will obey and follow, because we're just law abiding, tax paying good citizens. Pirates will shake their heads, raise their middle finger up and shout, FUCK YOU CORPORATE MOTHERFUCKERS!! And enjoy the games, without the strings. We will be told and believe that pirates are the bad guys, pirates are the one that should be put in jail for life, they are the one who should have their lives destroyed. Because, they are not law abiding, tax paying good citizens. They are worse, way worse. They are free people.

The future is all about taking away people's freedom and tightening down on restrictions, no more trading OR letting friends borrow ur games, big investments are lost, no one sells their used console with downloaded games attached to their account most people do a factory reset which erases their account from the console which will also erase all downloaded games 🙁..not to mention if ur console breaks or stops working and u have to buy another 1 the download process for all ur digital games to ur new console will take forever for some people smh 😳...the days of just putting a disk in and playing a game WITHOUT internet is dying out very fast.

This video literally marks the end of the golden age of video games that spanned the PS2 & 3 and the XBOX & 360 generations of consoles. The industry flipped the script and it went from them serving us to us serving them. It completely killed my joy for gaming on my 360 and in a bid rekindle my love of gaming in September that year I traded in my 360 for a PS3 / The Last of Us bundle which was a great game. I had been anticipating GTA V for years but that was such a disappointment compared to GTA IV that by early 2014 I had stopped gaming altogether. Nothing since then has enticed me back.

Recently purchased an Xbox 360 . It is still the best Microsoft Xbox console they have made; as I still have third party games from my closet along others to be purchasing. I skipped 8th Gen as I built a editing PC for editing purposes and of course, game from time to time. Still own my PS3, PS2, N64 . Since PS5 has full backwards compatible for PS4, it gives me a lot of reason to start collecting for PS4 games, as well as get the new games for PS5. Nintendo know how to make their first party games. I am just waiting for a true next gen console from them. The Switch is dope. I just wish more AAA companies support Nintendo. But heck, Nintendo is Nintendo. All in all, PC Gaming & Retro Gaming are best for me.
