Very good information I received my family Saturday and only flown it twice maybe 5 minutes each time but was a little timid by it but after watching this video I feel a lot more comfortable with the settings and what's going on none of the other channels really went in depth as you did so I want to give you two thumbs up thank you sir and I will be subscribing

Thanks for the detailed and well explained features and functions on the fimi navi app! It really helps the first time fimi x8 flyers. I always find time everyday to check any info on drones especially on your site. I have not really decided between Zino and fimi x8 especially now that a rumored dji mavic mini is coming on the horizon. But fimi x8 always fascinates me after its improvements but the price is quite near the rumored new mavic mini at a rumored $399 price and Zino even at a cheaper price has still some improvements to be done. I hope that Dji would confirm or deny the release of a new drone and its date soon to avoid the negative effects on sales of other drone companies. Keep us updated with your informative videos!

You are welcome Epson! The Fimi X8 continuous to get better with every firmware update. The latest camera update seems to have fixed some of the white balance fluctuations. But in my opinion the best part is the speed (35 MPH or 56 KMH), range (3 miles 5000 M) and flight time(25 minutes real time) and of course, a decent camera!

Good review thanks. One quick question, how do you extract the flight log information? I understand that the .Box file in the drone is for analysis by Fimi in the event of something going wrong. When you go into the flight logs in the app, there is a cloud with an up arrow. I assume this is to upload the flight details, but where do they upload to? It would be very beneficial if we could access the flight details so we can convert and put on Google earth. Regards.

Not that I know of! I wish there was. The Zino remembers the waypoint mission, As soon as you exit the App it forgets them.... And the FIMI does not!

Will video “zoom” settings work in photo mode? Also, the cord connecting the controller & my Apple phone went bad. I used the Android cable provided with my Android phone and the “disconnected” problem went away.

Good question! I believe so! We need to verify that this can be done through the controller stick sensitivity!

It must be that gain setting but I am not sure. I really like how the zino lets you adjust the yaw/heading speed so easily.

Yes this is normal the heat sink is taking all the heat away from the printed circuit board

@@Duranafy I read somewhere that the heat sink is actually made of plastic painted to appear metallic, so is more decorative than functional, though it is hard to tell, looking at the one I just unboxed here. This step-by-step setup procedure is very much appreciated sir, and it fills in a lot of the gaps in the instruction manual. The level of customization the Fimi X8 offers is very comprehensive. I also noticed that having the drone switched on indoors on a table, did generate considerable heat along the underside of the drone, so I placed a fan in front of it while I muddled my way through the manual. Good to know this heat buildup is not abnormal for the Fimi X8. Look forward to flying this new toy, for sure.

Duranafy,I did the same, -0,2 on the r axis,it looks good,but if I wait for half a minute to 1 minute I see the gimbal is still trimming a littlebit and after a minute it's slightly of with -0,2 r axis.I would like to have smaller steps like -0,1 or 0,05 and so on but unfortunally it doesn't...

I just bought this drone and took first flight and video today. When I watched the video it was freezing up, and jumping to different spots in the video. I have a class 10 sd card in it and formatted it. Could this be because the card is bad, or something in the settings? Gimbal seems to be working fine, and video looks good while flying. And drone flying perfect. Just hoping I don’t have to return it. Any suggestions you could give would be much appreciated!

The Fimi product line has had QC quality control issues. Your train of thought for trouble shooting is spot on. You need to eliminate the SD card variable from the equation by testing it on another product or use a known good SD card. As you know, if it is not the card then it is the aircraft DVR issue or aircraft recording system problem.

@@Duranafy Thank you for your reply! I was told by another guy that I can’t use a class 10 sd card in the drone and would have to use a u3. I went and got a u3 and it did the same thing. I thought maybe it just won’t work in hd and tried it in 1080p and it worked perfect. So there must be an issue with drone that the hd does work right? Anyways, thank you very much for your help!

Very comprehensive, thank you. But... I've installed the app on my Android tablet (version 5.0.1), and registered my email and a password. When I fire up the app, I get the opening white page that you show at the beginning of your tutorial. I don't have a FImi drone. Yet ;-) But I wanted to have a look at the app and make sure it would work on my Memopad7 tablet which is small enough to use with the controller. However, when I tap on the 'Enter Device' bar, the app restarts but will go no further. Is this because I don't have it attached to a controller, or do you think perhaps the app is not compatible with my tablet? I thought that Android 4.4 and above was ok. Thank you in anticipation.

Hi. I enjoyed your tutorial. Very informative for a new x8 owner. One suggestion. You didn't cover how to use the live feed part of the app. In there you have a choice to go live on youtube or custom. That is the only thing left for me to figure out and out of all the tutorials I have watched nobody covers that. I'm curious how to use the custom live feed. Other than that, great job. I did learn quite a bit from watching your video.

You need to pull out the Micro SD and put in your computer SD card read and then transfer the file to your disk drive.
