may be this is the first ever post on yoga for the elderly.Yoga is indeed an excellent regimen for the seniors and to share my involvement with yoga for the benefit of doubting Thomas's , I am 66 and I start my day with suryanamaskar followed by pranayama. My obsession with yoga began with my success in controlling my prostrate problem with yoga (Badhasana).Please immerse in yoga for a quality life during the sun set years. Congratulations to Yogalates and Rashmi for the unique approach.

Wow. Your mom is great. I am 52 year old. I have sciatica pain past 6 years. So I can't do suryanamaskaram. Pls give exercises for sciatica.

I watched the whole video as like to make sure I will be capable of taking part. I would need to hold on to a chair for those leg lifts as I am not stable enough and would fall over. It was perfectly explained when to breath in and out. All of it was perfectly explained. I would definitely have to slow don’t the instructions for the first few times as even my brain is slow. I think your mother is absolutely amazing The meditation on the last part of the video was so beautiful and relaxing. Your voice was so pleasant to listen to. Thank you very much for this video. I have subscribed to you channel.

Yes, I always like a variety of yoga instruction/approaches. As a 69 Y.O. who does practice regularly, I'd say the repetitious sun salutations (that frequent up/down rhythm), and the speed of other poses is a challenge. You may be capable, as a younger instructor, of what you instruct & expect but your participating audience--me in particular--could not keep up and enjoy the class.

I am 80 + and doing yoga regularly for about 30 minutes and walking for about 20 minutes 4 days in a week. I am fine. Your yoga for seniors is wonderful. I have decided to follow your yoga and hopefully looking for better result. Recently I had heart problem and two stents were fixed. Now I am feeling better. But with this condition whether I can carry on the yoga in your line ?

Wow your mom is so flexible and in such a good form! Such a great motivation to practice yoga regularly)) I see often in yoga classes, that some of the poses she is doing with such ease like Malasana and Baddha Konasana, even Lunge in Sun Salutation are so challenging for much younger people)) My hips were also tight before I started doing yoga) Hope to see more videos with your mom! :)

Yeah I have seen younger people find these same poses quite difficult but a regular practice helps and she has also had to work had to get here. :)
