“We are stardust, we are golden…” I’ve been pairing my daily (mostly) yoga nidra sessions with a yin yoga session (Yoga with Cassandra). This has been so beneficial for me, and I’m happy to be able to carve out the time. Thank you so much, Ayla, for another deep practice. Setting boundaries can be so hard, especially when you’ve experienced people not respecting them in the past. Be well.

I'm so glad to hear that combining yoga nidra and yin yoga has been beneficial for you! It's amazing how taking the time to set boundaries and prioritize self-care can have such a positive impact on our overall well-being. Keep up the great work, especially when you have to reinforce them!

This exploration leaves me contemplating old boundaries that no longer serve. The term "the earthworks of old battles" comes to mind. On one hand they give a sense of protection and safety, yet the enemy has long retreated if it was ever there in the first place. I am going to enjoy contemplating this for a while.

Oohhh I haven't heard the word 'simile' in awhile! Thanks EmOrg!

It is a fascinating self-inquiry. It is also interesting too... sometimes we set boundaries but the real effort comes in reiterating them to either the parts of ourselves or others that are not used to us valuing our true desires. In 2023, I had to value some important boundaries and felt the call to share this practice as a reflective experience. Something very relatable... and historic about expressing boundaries.
@joejenkins337910 ай бұрын
I haven't heard the word simile in a long time either. I wouldn't bet money on me knowing the difference between a simile and a metaphor. I probably knew that the day before an English test when I was in school.

Namaste! Ayla, that was masterful. Your script is genius, and the extreme of opposites was so visceral, but I had a profound realization at the interplay of hope and despair, anger and serenity. Then it merged perfectly with the theme of boundaries. Thank you! ❤ That was amazing. If anything, my only wish is that your pace at the beginning were very slightly slower as your voice is lovely and gaps of silence would begin the hypnotic relaxation process, which you create so magically and profoundly in the later koshas, from the very beginning.

I've practiced this particular yoga nidra a few times now and I thought I'd share my experience. The last 3 times or so I've felt the need to do a yawning stretch during the practice. Today, I felt I needed to do this multiple times, plus I was just yawning quite a bit in the last part of the practice. I know yawning can be a release or letting go, so maybe that's what was happening. During the emotion phase (I don't remember what you call it), I've started changing the first two to trust and fear, instead of hope and despair. I don't recall experiencing despair, but I do experience fear and anxiety. I have experienced hope. But I feel that despair, anxiety, and hope are all coming from a place of fear. I've started to work with trusting the Universe/Source to take care of my needs as long as I'm open and accepting. Can you explain more about how the phase of going through the different images you offer can impact our mind?

Thank you for sharing this in-depth and intriguing message! I resonate with your perspective. I do go over this quite extensively in the workshop Layers of Being where I dive into the purpose behind each kosha! The sound of this phrase/mantra (Hari Om Tat Sat) is used to awaken one to their highest self. Often, even if you have fallen asleep, this phrase will bring you back to full awareness. There are a number of ways to interpret this phrase… ‘all that is’ ‘absolute truth’, ‘ultimate reality’. It acts as a reminder that we are not limited to the material world. Thank you for asking. kzbin.infocOQrRK3kjHw
