is it better to keep your toes and up and spread on the balancing leg (to help lift the arches) during the pose? or is better to try and keep all 5 toes on the ground when balancing on one leg and just lift and spread the toes initially before going into the one legged balance?

19/1/23 my most favorite and challenging sequence was the baby pistol squat. Can't count the number of times I lost balance 😸😸😸. Thanks Cathy for the cues 😄
