I have been doing dog grooming since 2015.

I have a yorkie and she only shivers sometimes when I take her into a store and I'm holding her if I have her on her leash she doesn't. MY dad amd stepmom have two and they don't shiver well their female does when it's really cold but other than that they don't shiver either

Back when I was young, before my parents allowed me to have my first dog, our neighbors got a little Yorker puppy named Riley. He was so tiny and friendly. Every time they’d bring him out to the backyard while me and my mom were sitting on our porch, he’d run over to us and pee on our porch in his excitement to see us! 😂 He was the sweetest little guy.

The "shire" as a suffix in English county names is always pronounced "sure" if anyone is interested. So it's pronounced "York-sure." Unless you are talking about a shire as a standalone word, in which case it's pronounced as spelt. This is only the tip of the iceberg as far as our place names are concerned. Cute dog!

I wouldn’t say it’s “sure”, but “sher”, and always without a stress on that syllable. So it’s YORK-sher, OX-ford-sher, LES-ter-sher (for Leicestershire). 👍🏼

Maybe this is just showing our accent differences, but I pronounce “sure” the same as “shore”! (South east England)

Super true. My 1st one 😢, my loving baby was raised in NYC but when we moved to Cali, while she’d kiss all the dogs-she didn’t play. 4 weeks after he horrific death, I got a call saying a hoarder who died had 40 yorkie puppies that interbred and If I can foster a 3wk old which meant I had to bottle feed etc. I said NO. I will not foster, I will keep. But the min he could be with other dogs, I made him play. He’s super super brave, plays rough, kisses other dogs, and when he thought his sister was hurt, he tried to fight a lab (I was scared bc he’s so little but the lab looked at him like pffff)

Silkies and Yorkshire terriers are not the same by the way. Silkies are like Yorkies but bigger and more thicker fur like silk

You did such a wonderful job with her especially for her first time being groomed. When would you suggest people actually start bringing their dogs in to train them on getting groomed? Even if coming in doesn't mean an actual full groom?

She's cute ! We had one +aLlasso+ aBig Black Lab and Everybody loved Everybody .We spent a great deal of time brushing , foot , mouth care and bathing Everybody so if a groomer ever had to work with them they would have No Problems The Animal Rescue said they don't even use a leash ! teaching from day 1 with love can make a world of difference . I really enjoy the information you give about about each breed as you demonstrate how to bathe and care for their coats . You are beautiful. Audio and visuals are beautiful 🌬🤗
