@@tonyweaver2353 Why does it matter to you? No one is telling you to be trans and transition. But for him it was life saving because in his mind his body was wrong. Science has shown trans brains actually tend to be similar to the gender they identify than are born as which makes the fact trans people exist not only natural and normal but understandable why they can not just stop being trans. It isnt a 1:1 anaolgy but I am asexual. I feel 0 sexual attraction to anyone. But i didnt know that was a thing until I was 21 and that it was okay. I convinced myself i must be bisexual because i was attracted to everyone the same even though no one was actually attractive to me sexually. Because i didnt know it was normal to not feel attraction, when i didnt have the same feelings and experiences as my peers I felt broken and like a failure of a human. I let myself stay in abusive relationships because I thought I deserved it and struggled to understand that my boundaries still mattered when clearly I was broken and therefore undeserving When i learned asexuality was a thing a normal it was a lightbulb and like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I felt Asexual my entire life just without a word for it, learning about it did not make me ace but gave me words for it. People are going after trans people as if it is a fad and a phase. It isnt, people just are finding words for it and more ability and acceptance to recognize who they are and be supported before it mentally hurts them. No one transitions for the hell of it. And less than 1% on average detransition And of that 1% some of them are due to financial loss of access to HRT and care, or through hostile environments/lack of support/harrassment making the 1% not even fully just people who regretted it. It is so hard to get the support to transition. The care is hard to access/stupid expensive/long term People are publicly transphobic and think it is okay to bully, harrass, threaten and even assault trans people just for existing outside No one. And I mean No. One. Puts themselved through that kind of life of social fear and stigma/retaliation for fun.

you see it on a minor scale, too. I might get shocked or a bit defensive if someone hasn’t seen a movie I like or they didn’t like it, but many people can act insulted or that it’s “factually incorrect” to have a different opinion because sympathizing with a different viewpoint can be very hard. That’s not to say anyone that gets insulted over this is a bad person, it can just be a way of expressing how important that piece of media is to them. @@irxosm1 Not to be rude, but using the word “God“ doesn’t make somebody a Christian. God did not create us “to be happy and live a full life of no regrets”; that notion is ludicrous, and not found anywhere in the Bible. God created Man to know Him and therefore love Him; to worship and glorify Him, serve Him, and to do His will. A Christian would know that. As stated in Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” We were made in His image and likeness, as male and female; aside from the obvious and self-evident truth that a woman can never become a man (and vice versa), it is an affront to God to presume otherwise about His creation. And it is the purest arrogance to assert that God is “proud” of a person who has committed blasphemy by attempting to do so. A Christian would know all of this. So there is no such thing as a “Christian ally”, because a person who asserts otherwise is no more a Christian than this woman is a man.
@blobbertmcblob48888 ай бұрын
No, actually, God wants us to be miserable as hell. (pun intended) because otherwise we would have never been given "free will" in order to be the way we are. If God wanted us to be happy, then we'd all be living in a Utopia with no crime, plenty of friends, unlimited access to everything. But that's a cardinal sin, right? That this is one of “God’s trials?” Now, I’m not religious at all, but Christianity is something that was forced upon me, so I know God is supposed to be love, and Christianity should spread that love, not shitting on people’s experiences because you don’t understand it. People always tell you "you'll really regret" things YOU want to do. This isn't because you will or won't regret it, but because they don't approve of it and are trying to dissuade you from doing it.

dude, that's such a good point!

My moms absolute be-all end-all argument is 'you'll regret...' the only thing in my life I regret is waiting so long to start living. I'm nearly 30 and thanks to my parents pushing, I have a degree I didn't want, debt I didn't want, a job (barely) that is inconsistent and not what I want. But sure, I'll totally regret choosing happiness, or choosing a trade over a desk job, or choosing to love myself over pretending to be a boy.
@sassylittleprophet2 жыл бұрын
@@NikkiTheOtter I'm glad you've come to that realisation. Even if you feel like it's a bit late, it's never too late for someone to start living authentically. You might regret the time you feel you've wasted, but it got you to this point, and you have the rest of your life to live as yourself. 💜

Same. I started my transition journey nearly six years ago, and haven't had a single day of regret. Things just feel right now. Obviously it's perfectly fine if people take their time to figure things out or change their minds. I spent a year figuring out how I identified. But very few people who get to the point where they're ready to physically transition regret it, because by then you've had time to process and make your mind up. I can't stand it when transphobes imply that anyone can have a moment of uncertainty about their gender, waltz up to their doctor's office that day on a whim and come away with hormones in hand and a date for surgery. It takes YEARs to get to that point, and all the time you're waiting you've got medical professionals informing you of all the changes and risks.

Yes! I especially hate it when transphobes say that kids are being influenced to transition and permanently ruin their bodies. When if they even bothered to look up the basics about trans related stuff they'd know that children can't legally transition with hormones or surgery anywhere. So, that's a complete non-issue.

That's why I hate the videos that Blaire white has put out about de-transitioners, because she makes it seem like everyone that transitions has instantly regret it, if my uncle found those videos, he would assume that I'm just transitioning for attention. So detransitoning videos are educational in the sense of those were people that were not ready for it, whereas you cannot tell every trans person that they are going to regret transitioning.
