Some of my favourite quotes by Dale are: • It isn't what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about. • Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get • Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success. Lastly, my favourite & one of things i personally stand by - • Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.

It boils down to LOVE. My wise mother always taught us to look at everything with love….even your “enemies”. It annoyed me to think of this at first because I thought the answer was to resist and fight for things. Law of attraction taught me otherwise. I think that if you are someone like me, who GENUINELY listens and cares, this book might be just a refresh button of your personality. It’s unbelievable that people need a book to learn the basic steps of building a friendship or when you are just meeting someone new. I love listen to others and I pay attention to details of each word they are saying, I like to be present. I’m tired of living in a society where people just see me as an asset: “ can she add anything valuable in my life?” People are forgetting the genuine feelings of being a Human Being. Sad

I agree with you. I felt like this is a refresh button of my personality. But that made me think of one thing. I've always been genuinely interested in people, their interests, asked them questions about themselves, told them nice things. In short, I liked people. But the thing is, it hardly ever got reciprocated. I can't think of a single incident from the top of head where people took interest in me. What am I doing wrong? I like people, genuinely, but they don't like me.

1. Give people a fine reputation to live up to: - Be positive about their wins, even if their fails need work. - If you communicate your admiration to a person, that person will act accordingly as an inspiring figure. 2. Encourage others to talk about themselves: - People are more interested in themselves and their problems, than in you. 3. Become genuinely interested in other people: - Show curiosity and interest for others. - Ask questions; their interests and preocupations can become your temporary passions. 4. Don't resist people. Agree first: - Disarm resistance by being empathic and understanding. 5. Appeal to their nobler motives: - Appeal to the part of them that wants to do good: Honesty, Fairness, Family, Compassion, Doing Good. 6. Talk in terms of other persons interests, not yours: - Ask yourself about their wants and interests and try to provide that to them. "Talking in terms of others' interests (...) That is the royal road to a person's heart". 7. Make the other person feel sincerely important: - Point 1, 2, 3, 6 and this one seem to be closely related. - Being self absorved and talking constantly about yourself is exhausting to others. 8. Ask questions instead of giving orders: - A person will act more responsibly and motivated if they are executing an idea they themselves proposed, rather than following a request. - "The most powerful law of human nature" is making people feel important. - Take advantage of the prideful nature of a person. 9. Use encouragement & make their faults seem easy to correct: - Be positive, focus on their achievements. - If their work/thoughts need improvement, convey it only after focusing on positive thoughts. 10. (Secret) Book's foundation: If you want people to like you, you must like them first. - If you genuinely like someone, you will be able to make friends, inspire, motive, influence or lead them. - Being facetious is an easily discovered maneuver and will probably fail. - Genuinity is most important.

I am very sincere, polite & honest with positiviti. But the society i am living is full of complex people and most of the time in my life i was either bullied or victim of unethical works. But still i didn't change myself and show respect to people. I don't know if someday will i able to someone who is like me or not? God bless us all.
