Something about that's funny about that though is Louis like a child himself acts a lot of his emotions out in a facial expression. It's a kind of child-like way to double down on the emotion he wants you to feel. It's a big part of his on-stage persona and he's using it here to patronize Bert for comic effect.

I'm 60 years old. Older than either of these very successful men. Like them I'm a dad. Listening to Louis & Bert talk about how little things, like one of their kids being bummed about a Wonder Woman costume, sticking with them more than playing to thousands in a huge stadium at first felt like something I couldn't relate too. But then it hit me. My daughter is now 18. At college, with a tattoo and a boyfriend. It seemed like just the other day she was a 10 year old who still held my hand when she crossed the street. In fact, I have a memory of taking her to dance class and holding her hand, lightly, but just for a few seconds. Then she let go like "I don't need to do that anymore". I think that was the last time she held my hand like that. Like a kid. I never played the Garden. But I was in a band who opened for The Clash at their famous Bond gigs here in NY. (Look it up). My punk afficionados are like "Oh my God! What was it like!" I remember arriving. I remember my older brother who was in the band with me meeting Paul Simonon for a second. I remember the microphone smelled bad. I don't remember much else. But I'll remember the last time my daughter held my hand. Forever. (Cheesy mic drop). Love this interview. Deep lessons from Louis here. Thank you!

Louis CK has always seen through people's bullshit. Bert made a point about his experience listening to Opie and Anthony, and Louie said Patrice would've first made a point against PC culture. It would have been a Great set, but Patrice was also a comedian trying things out. It never happened, and as much as I love Patrice, he might have been accused of all the same things everyone else was. I miss the guy, he was smart. But when the mob attacks, even though comedians prepare for it, Chappelle was attacked. Louis CK was attacked, dumbo asiz anzari was attacked

That glance on Louis face at 1:10:50 crushed me. Him noticing that Bert *absolutely* missed the the powerful and beautiful life lesson that was shared so Louis starts panicsplaining the meaning of the story. So much tension.
