Thank you for the guide it is very helpful! My only recommendation would be that moving up and down very fast was jarring to the eyes and would love to see all the gear options on one page instead of scrolling up and down.

Darkmoon Card Crusade seems better than many of the trinkets above it for boss fights. As long as you can attack every 10 secs or less I would run that but it should not be available till phase 3.

The speed is a huge deal. A faster off hand means more poison procs, more swords spec procs, and more combat potency procs.

ive got bloodlust brooch, hourglass and abacus. should i use brooch and hourglass or brooch and abacus. also for OH daggers, i have feltooth eviscerator and is it worth prioing searing sunblade over other gear from badges (like choker of vile intent)?

The eviscerator is really good, you do not need to Prio sunblade. I would use abacus and brooch

Just got malchazeen to drop, haven’t seen spiteblade yet though. I have vindicators brand/latro’s would it be worth it to get searing sunblade and play daggers until I get spiteblade?

With those swords you'll be doing similar damage to those daggers anyway. I would save the badges unless you really want to try Daggers.

I have a problem. After my kara run yesterday, I got both Fool's Bane AND Malchazeen. I have a Feltooth eviscerator in my bank, and A latros currently equipped ( was using edge of the cosmos). I've been told to go Fools Bane MH, Latros OH and spec both mace and swords. Is this something you would recommend? Or would going double daggers be better?

Fool's bane + latros will be slightly behind the 2 daggers, but it will be close. Can go with preference. I would go with fool's bane if you use expose armor or find dagger positioning annoying.

What about the longevity of getting blazefury for the offhand? If the plan is to get that wouldn't it make sense to build blazeguard? Or is there another offhand sword that beats out blazefury once it comes out?

It's a mace/sword hybrid build. You sacrifice some points from poisons to get both mace and sword specs.

It depends how good your teammate is, how good your comp is and how competitive arena is.

If you never lose, you can hit it in 1-2 days depending on how much you play.

@david i might have misunderstood the reply. 1-2 days would be for the rating of you don't lose. It takes multiple weeks to accumulate the points and you get more the higher your rating.

There is something I dont get: Why is the mace BIS if sword spec is so strong ? Do you go mace spec or keep sword spec just for the off hand ? (During prepatch MSA should be stronger than R14 swords Mh, then no ?)

It has to do with the haste proc, which the simon sheet very well could overvalue. You are right that you keep sword spec for the offhand even if you use the mace.

Yes, starting with Rogue Mage and Rogue warlock in 2s. I will eventually play a bunch of different comps in 2s and 3s.

I went Herb / Alch. Tons of herbs in instances making solo stealth runs for pickpocketing, herbing (or mining), chests, and even soloing some mobs / elites. Herb skinning the bog lords in Zanger is an awesome grind. And I think so many people will be going gear crafting professions that consumable producers will be in demand. Get on that fishing and cooking, too!

It sims about the same as blazefury (3rd rank of that sword). One thing in latros advantage, is that it has better stats. Beyond that, there are 3 reasons that all have to do with the speed of the weapon. The faster your offhand, the more combat potency procs will get, the more sword spec procs you will get, and finally, you get more poison procs.

Expertise on Rogue is not as good compared to other classes, and that is reflected by spreadsheets as well. Remember that when your builders like Sinister strike get dodged, you are refunded 80% of the energy. The final Talent point in combat makes it so your finishers cannot be dodged. Because expertise reduces your chance to be dodged and those previous points mitigate how bad it would be for your abilities to be dodged, the main way in which expertise would increase your damage is through Auto attacks. Hit accomplishes that goal much more efficiently since hit is a lot easier to get, and you can get a lot more on an item that expertise.

@@Zatar Curious on this, as it's reasonably possible to get white hit capped and expertise capped (Human + Latros + LC Rep Ring + Gloves from Kara). Most of the stuff I've looked at values expertise above everything else, particularly considering how much % damage your AAs will be. I'd also think that the expertise value increases with the more hit you get, as well.

@sean at least in Phase 1, it's not worth going out of your way to reach expertise cap. You will reach the hit cap, and expertise would be your only way to get more Auto attack damage, but in tier 4 expertise items are not good enough to merit using them. One argument you could make though is if for whatever reason getting parried is more of a concern, the value of expertise would be much better.

Good way to fake cast a good rogue on deadly throw is to stop running. A lot of rogues use the cue when I stop running on my priest to pop cloak, or kick( good rogues).
