I came for the chicken balls, stayed, and binge watched for Choo! Your mum's an utter treasure! The first meal I ever ate at a Chinese Restaurant was pork, gravy and crispy noodles. My go-to at my local takeaway is special crispy noodles and gravy. Love, love, love crispy noodles! Thank you for sharing! 😍

What a genuinely lovely comment to read! Me and mum work together and we wouldn't be so capable of cooking together if we didn't get on and have a laugh, don't get me wrong, when we argue we really argue, but that is a rarity and 20 seconds later we're laughting about it

Help us self publish our book, because we're nobodies we cant get a publishing company to look twice at us. To self publish our book is going to cost alot, as to get them at a resonable price to be able to sell we have to print in the thounsands. If you'd like to support the channel and help us achieve this goal a small donation would really help us reach it. If you would like to donate please click the link www.chinandchoo.com/copy-of-cooking-lessons If you can't or just dont want to donate that fine too, we just really appreciate that you're here watching our content and being part of the #ziangarmy community. Couldn't do it without all the secret tips. As others have said, the interaction between son and mum can be a bit weird at times, but it also makes it what it is. I keep coming back for more! @@ZiangsFoodWorkshop yep, first year i tried it i planted a load thinking the majority wont come up from seed, i had a poly tunnel full of them 3 month later and couldnt give them away as most people didnt know much about it back then, you need to keep it well watered though or it will bolt very easily if it has a dry spell ( set seed rather than put the strength in to growing) very fast growing, massive plants in 2 months, better picked when younger before it goes woody, seeds are cheap,

I had a go at this one tonight. I used noodles from Morrison’s; yea I know. They took for ever to go crispy. I think I had too many in the pan and the oil wasn’t hot enough, but we got there. I had no prawns, so cooked up some chicken breast, chopped and marinaded in soy, shaoshing and cornflour for 20 mins. For veg I used just what I had in the fridge: Chinese cabbage and carrot. I also used ordinary chestnut mushrooms. I substituted home made chicken stock for the water too. The rest of the sauce was exactly as you demonstrated. It was delicious and I’ll be doing it again. I took a photo which I’ll try to send to you. I tried to attach a photo, but can't see how to do it. Funny because I sent you a photo of my pork the other week?

This sort of food is my Fav. I have an allergy to onions though, but my local Cantonese takeaway has no problems not adding them. You're right about never quite getting the flavours right. MSG on the shopping list :)

There's no such thing as traditional Chinese takeaway food, it was invetented for western tastes, but we are planning to do versions that we feel are the best if that makes sense, along with actual traditional dishes too :)

Sorry that's what I meant traditional, rather than traditional takeaway, I watched a video once where they searched for the 'traditional' sweet and sour that Chinese people order (it was American) thats what's confused me ha! I'm off to buy some ingredients today to make some roast pork
