This channel is maturing brilliantly. Informative, clear instructions, amusing, practical and easy to follow. It's unbelievable that a TV producer hasn't spotted it and pinned them down to do a mini series yet. I imagine it would be extremely popular.

I always boil my beef, pork and chicken, before adding them to the wok. The beef/chicken/pork stay tender and juicy, and the sauce of the chow mein coats them lovely. But I will try this way and compare them. Keep up the good work and keep making excellent videos.

Oh man. I made this dish last night with the velveted (?) style tenderised topside beef and it was incredible. It gives it a lovely smooth texture and it's very tender. I imagine boiling the meat would give it a more gritty texture.

I made this yesterday (after doing the beef prep on Saturday). I made 6 good-sized portions in shifts as I had so much beef, so there’s lots of leftovers for this week. We love Chinese food but do not have any takeaway now due to watching the pennies. I love cooking so started watching your videos which are amazing. My first dish was egg fried rice to go with a S&B curry paste I use and was great. Tonight I cooked this dish and used Tesco stir fry beef which I marinated as you say. It was ok but not like the takeaway. Yours looks great but I guess could be expensive to buy ?? Anyway using lucky boat noodles and following your recipe was the best chow mein I have ever done and was as you say the same as a takeaway. The only thing we found was it was too dark for us using 4 TBSp of dark soy so I will half this next time. Yours did not seem as dark using same measures? But overall a very nice meal and will be doing so may more of your great recipes. Thank you so much for this both. 👍🍷

Lol best is to take it out the freezer and leave it in the fridge over night, but also putting the container it's in into cold water at room temp will speed this up

I love your channel. I’ve just cooked overnight rice for the first attempt of egg fried rice tomorrow - hope it’s the nuts as it’s a 10kg bag 🧐 keep up the amazing work and please do some duck dishes 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆

lol, same here! I'm sure it will be fine and yes we have some on the way, its hard as we need to show you how to roast it 1st, but to do that you need a specialist oven and you need a bread of duck that isn't sold in uk butchers or stores

Well I've just finished eating this and I must say it's a lot better than how I used to cook with the generic packet sauces etc. Any chance you could add in some weights and measures please? I could see how much onion but water and the two soys I had to guess. Not nit-picking here but I would like to get it exactly how it's meant to be :) great video I'm off to check out some more of yours 👍
