I’m a diabetic2 and fruit does raise your blood sugar, some fruits can spike it. Stick to low or medium glycemic fruits. Anyone can learn about low, medium, and high glycemic foods for yourselves. Ceylon cinnamon is the only one you should use. I’d get it from a place like Penzey’s, Whole Foods, places that sell organic foods.

I dont have diabetes but I am working toward a healthier lifestyle with food, exercise and other healthy habits. My Mum died of Pancreatic Cancer at 70 in 2010 and one of my sisters was diagnosed with diabetes along with her husband. Thank you for all of this GREAT and very doable information to DODGE /STOP diabetes in its tracks. Last year, I heard it was on the rise by 700% (maybe I am off a bit/ maybe it was obesity). As a teacher I see so much processed (carbs and high sugar) foods being packed in lunches, that it just makes me sad. I so appreciate you helping all of us understand the cause and effect of these foods. It can be so confusing with marketing and our fast paced lifestyles!

My mother has high potassium, was told no flaxseed, but was stated can have up to 2000 potassium a day. If that's the case then why not at least 1 tsp of ground flaxseeds. Also, will I be able to add 1/4 of avocado? She doesn't have diabetes. I would love healthy breakfast and lunch menues. I am tired of fixing her the same breakfast most mornings (oatmeal). Now, I try to do bran oat hot cereal as well. I read about oats, wheat is not good. Heck, one minute you can get certain foods, then later you can't. My niece and two sister has diabetes of them use insulin.

@@yvonneclapham1660 Hi! three servings of fruit = 180 calories and 6 grams or more of fiber. I ELIMINATED ALL RED MEAT, processed deli meat, & pork from my diet upon my rectal cancer diagnosis in 2019. But I used to binge burgers & bacon before, because I LOVED it. But that’s over with because of the links to colon cancer with red meat, etc. 😫bummer… What is your take on Beyond Burgers (Veggie burgers) ??

My hba1c used to be 5.7% now it's 6.23% I'm extremely close to becoming a diabetic being weary of my condition I avoid sugar, refined carbs, lost weight, exercise.I am already under tremendous depression, anxiety and eating very less amount of food per day that I've never ever eaten before in my life the reason being the concern of me becoming a diabetic very soon which is my worst nightmare which I never want to happen to me

@@holycow3355 sorry to disappoint you because I'm not yet a diabetic but I'm extremely close to it with the highest risk of becoming a diabetic, today I checked my fasting blood glucose it was 93 mg/DL but if i had become diabetic it would've been 126 mg/DL or above for your information hba1c of 6.4% which some say and certainly hba1c 6.5% is confirmed diabetes I'm sharing an extremely important life saving information especially for those who are suffering low end prediabetes and high end prediabetes My age is 37 I've been prediabetic for a very long time it was 5.7% with an estimated average glucose of 114 mg/DL now most recently when I checked it was up to a concerning high 6.23% with an estimated average glucose level of 132.12 mg/DL if it reaches 137 mg/DL then it's a permanent life long type 2 diabetes So everyone with prediabetes both at low end range and high end range follow these steps to reverse hba1c save yourselves from becoming permanently type 2 diabetics When someone's hba1c reaches high end range like 6% and above they'll notice frequent urination especially at night that'll disrupt sleep, there will be severe hair fall, there will be loss of bodyweight, there will be extreme inching in the genital region, people will also go through severe depression, anxiety, start having extremely low amount of calories because of fear of their condition worsening to diabetes soon Lose body weight as soon as possible maintain ideal body weight and BMI because visceral fat is major cause of diabetes and other major health problems losing body weight is very easy by following 18-6 intermittent fasting and with weight training Have breakfast, lunch, dinner with gaps for example there should be 4 hours to 6 hours gap between breakfast, lunch and dinner plz make sure to have dinner before 6 p.m instead of having later in the evening Build muscle because muscles metabolise glucose greatly and also they prevent cancer also if someone already has cancer by building muscles they can increase their survival rate Avoid all types of sugar both processed or natural but if consumed don't consume more than 36 grams per day Always eat in an order of fiber first, protein second and carbs thrid Keep total carbs per day 130 grams or below avoid refined carbs consume complex carbs Walk immediately after a meal because the cells are like sponges that soak up blood glucose but if someone doesn't walk then insulin spikes to reduce the blood glucose which if happens frequently causes insulin resistance and diabetes Take two table spoons of acv before meals which helps to prevent glucose raise Take suppliments like berberine, gymnema sylvestre, bitter melon,Probiotics all of these help to lower blood glucose Sleep is very important because those who don't sleep for 7 to 8 hours are five times at risk of developing diabetes Wear a cgm it will keep tracking the blood glucose throughout the day making us aware of it's levels I'm strictly following these because of which I'm seeing great improvement
