In my humble opinion, there is no reason to observe the Christ-Mass day. I do love the tree, but I prefer it to remain outside lol. Also, I prefer to leave it in its natural beauty, doesn't need more lights. What we SHOULD do on Christmas is to sing hymns and to use this day as an opportunity to witness about Christ. What we SHOULD NOT do is participate in the translation itself. It is with the meat. We can eat what we wish to, but when we are told its sacrificed to other gods, we are told to abstain.

This is one of the better versions of this book I have found, but it still shows the bias of the translators. It is based on the “replacement theory” which plagues Christianity. The best part of this is Hermas calls Jesus what he is. He never calls him his name or Christ but Son of God. This goes against many who say Paul corrupted Christianity. Hermas proves all the first Christian’s saw Jesus as the begotten Son Of God and that he is the only way to God.

I find it interesting that 30 years ago, protestants (I used to be one) wouldn't veer from their "66" book Bible when the one given at council Hippo 383 ad was 72 books moreover, I couldn't find a protestant who would read outside their delered book Bible. And now it's the protestants who have translated true apocryphal books. I always heard of Sherpard of Hermas and wanted to read it. Also, I have been able to get Enoch 1 as well done be one of the protestant sects.the Euthopian orthodox have 81 books in their Holy Bible but not the Sherpard of Hermas Now that I'm Russian Orthdox their so many writing from the early church that are shared.
