Hi from the UK Neil! Thank you for making these videos and sharing your experiences. My husband is going through advanced stage liver cancer and cirrhosis. He was disgnosed in 2020 and had beed doing really well for 3 years but now hit ascites and lost a lot of weight. He's just given up his gardening business (which was his well-being tool). Watching your videos is giving me a sense of sharing and a source for information. I wish you well, keep up with your upbeat attitude on your journey! Sending you love and strength ❤❤❤

There is no “s” on the end of the word “bilirubin”. If you are speaking in the plural form of the word, there is generally still no “s” on the end of the word. My “bilirubin” level is elevated. Your “bilirubin” count is high. You have excess “bilirubin” in your bloodstream. I think it’s fair to say your “bilirubin” count is much improved since you no longer have yellow eyes and don’t look like a pumpkin. ✌🏻

They call mine end stage but I also need to be over 20 meld for a transplant and I sit at 17 so for now I’ll stay positive and keep going. And I know that there is no actual cure at this point and I have also come to terms with the chance of death. And thank you for you addition to this discussion 😊

Their doing an abdomen contrast tomorrow on my son. The research I've done just says he will be hooked up to an I.V. and they put some type of some dye so they can see everything. They've never done a biopsy or that stuff on him either because of the possibility of bleeding and not clotting. They also want to give him vaccines, 10 to be precise at the same time but we don't think thats a good idea and its not like he's getting on the list tomorrow so why couldn't he get them one at a time over time🤷‍♂️ Anyways I hope your well and I love the lizards. Still on cardividol and some other diuretics but no detectable ascites as of last u.s. Seems like brain does better some days than others. Hope you feel o.k. I’m almost 61 and the everyday swelling kills my arthritis. Other than that I’m like you. Taking it day by day and thanking God for the chance to live another day. I appreciate that you don’t ramble and make god points, Get a instant pot it’s great for trying fresh or frozen veggies in. It doesn’t have to be watched so cooking isn’t as tiring. For boring white meat chicken I buy skinless boneless chicken and easily and quickly cube it raw using kitchen or poultry scissors.I see in cast iron skillet in a dab of Oliver oil, nothing else and then lower temp to low and put lid on until it is barely steamed to done so it’s still juicy. Then I make my own spice blends without salt and use fresh garlic or powdered garlic and lemon to mimic salt. I buy family packs so it’s handy to eat in a few days. I do t add spices until just before eating so I can change flavors. My favorite blend is Hungarian sweet paprika, cayenne, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder. The only grains I allow is whole grain rice like black rice, or one slice a day of Killer Dave power seed bread which I get at half price at day old bred store and freeze. I eat cooked fresh dandelion green a lot and lots of green veggies andcruciferous veggies. My carbs are small portions of sweet potato Almost no eating out or fast food. No processed meats or corn dogs. For carbs. Protein and fat I sometimes eat nuts or roasted pumpkin seeds. Please stop eating so much junk food you mentioned. The liver can’t process even fruit sugar. I eat low glycemic fruit in measured small amounts mostly berries. Get a salad spinner for a quick washing of raw greens. When I weak I cut up and process food sitting in my bed. I have giant cutting board and chef knife, a bowl to put food in hand a big bowl for trash like peelings. I batch cook huge batches to freeze and freeze single servings in quart bags to avoid cheating. Hope this helps somebody.

My doctors totally ignored my fatty liver when fibrosis was around 3 in normal range. Now fibrosis is at 8.5 and over has hardened but sti smothe and no compensation. Portal vein etc ok. Dies this mean I can stil take Rezdiffra or is it too ate? Beginning mild Simptoms like muscle wasting and severe tiredness and itching after a high carb meal. They still treat me like a hypochondriac since my blood work is sti very good. But at my request I am getting sent to a gastroenterologist nd rheumatologist cuz they thin I may have sgrens which can attack the liver. Because I eat such few carbs they even refuse to beieve I have diabetes. Cuz long as I don’t have over12 carbs at a meal and no saturated fats my sugar will stay below 125dl. But if I cheat and eat a whole sandwich with two slices of bread it bows blood sugar out of the water.I’m trying to get care right away to reverse it if possible.maybe zombie or Rezdiffra help.

Hi! My husband was recently diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and it’s been comforting listening to your story and sharing your journey. We are going to find out what stage his cirrhosis is at soon (although I think it’s compensated because he doesn’t have fluid and swelling, spider angiomas or vertices), but I have been making home cooked meals using two cookbooks specifically geared towards fatty liver/liver cirrhosis and his overall appearance has improved! We buy skinless chicken breasts, tuna and salmon, and lean cuts of beef (every once in a while). I’ll also prepare a starch like wild rice or brown rice or sweet potato and fill up our plates with veggies like broccoli, lettuce, squash, green beans or carrots. Like you said, greek yogurt is a great source of protein and he will eat that with some blueberries and grapes. Sometimes he’ll switch it up for cottage cheese. We try to buy fruit juices with no added sugars as well. We don't eat fast food or greasy food anymore either. Going low sodium was the best thing to happen to both of us and it’s been great using lemon juice and dried herbs to add flavor to meals. His dietician also approved all of the things we’ve been eating and gave us an exact number on how much protein he should be getting per day based on his body metrics. Overall, I’m scared about this diagnosis but also hopeful that the lifestyle changes we’re making are benefiting him and his bloodwork shows improvement :) Again, thank you for your insight and updates, it gives us hope! ❤

the entities that do studies are not entirely unbiased, some only get paid for certain results, it's an ongoing issue and all so called diseases are big money these days so these studies are no longer a reliable source of information. For biological systems, anecdotal evidence, trial and error are the best information we have. The studies can give us some clues to try but not to be taken too seriously. At the end of the day the medical system does not claim to cure anything. For having decades and practically unlimited resources... that's a problem.

Natural Paths can fix the gallstones too. Do you watch any of the videos from Dr. Berg, or Dr. Sten Ekberg? They have excellent food choices for you liver. Your current diet is very bad. Just switching to himalayan salt is better for you. Your thyroid and liver needs salt, and it needs attention too because the liver makes the stuff for the thyroid. Avoid fruit. Have you switched to Liposomal? Your liver can recover. You have to believe that the right supplements and diet will help what is not lost. Please try the NAC and the glutathione. For spirtual help the best that I have found is Ligonier Ministries out of Sanford Florida. It is a worldwide miniistry and they can definitely help you in that area of your life.

thanks for your video. it sounds like you have decompensated cirrhosis. For those out there that still have compensated cirrhosis, I would like to give them a word of encouragement. I was diagnosed back in 2019 a couple of months before the shutdown. They told me I was on the borderline between compensated and decompensated. And said I had about 3 years to live. I made both habit and lifestyle changes. No drinking (which I don't believe was the primary cause, but was a contributing factor), diet restructuring (on going), supplements and exercise. I also gave up driving. And bike as much as possible, on a good day I can get 10 miles. But other days I can't even get out of bed. I have been hospitalized four times for esophageal varices ruptures. which is actually how they found out about my condition. I still work but take about twice as many days off as I get in sick days. I normally don't speak about this topic but to close friends, so I would like to commend you on your willingness to put yourself out there. Also enjoyed the answer to the question how long do I have? It brought a little respite to an otherwise sobering topic. Keep your head up my friend, ...

I know it’s frustrating, yes. They just tell you to change your diet and exercise more. You have to request a dietician otherwise they will not refer you to one, unfortunately. But once you have a dietician, they will be able to share some great resources that are based off of your medical records (like how much protein you should be eating per day based on your height and weight). This is great for meal prepping and making sure you’re getting adequate amounts of protein per day. I advocated for my husband to be followed by a dietician and asked her which diet is best and she said, Mediterranean is good. She advised to stay away from keto because of the high fat and limit red meat intake but if you do have red meat to make sure it’s a leaner cut like sirloin or you could cut the fat off. So just high protein, low sodium (2000 mg per day which is about a tablespoon), low fat diet. I hope you get the resources you need soon ❤

Meanwhile I'm combing the Internet so as to learn what his diagnosis really means. Your video is the first "one to one" that I've stumbled upon. Prior to it I was already terrified from what I was finding , wondering if we were going to be able to do anything about it! Your video gave me hope. You've gone through a great ordeal so far, however your casual approach is most admiring and reassuring. I'm sorry for what you've been through however your positive attitude will get you {and the rest of us} through it! "Everything is gonna be alright" God bless.

Thank you for you comment. I’m sorry to hear your husband is going through it. Every situation is different. There are different levels like compensated and decompensated cirrhosis. Decompensated means it’s not performing its duty correctly anymore. Key things are high protein diet, like 6 smaller meals a day and limiting fluid intake and salt. Staying active is important. And it doesn’t have to be a lot. Just getting out of the house. And staying focused on small goals and doing thinks that keeps the mind active. I build legos 🤷🏻 but staying positive is most important! Just remember tomorrow may be a good day! 😊

To the producer of this video, you are brave to talk about this. I wish u well. It’s better that you just make this as plain as you can. It was perfect.

Watch out not only for alcohol but sugar, vegetable oil, fruit diets, or things containing linoleic acid. The body has defenses against these things but our modern diet throws things at us that our evolutionary system was not totally prepared for.

I know that question is rhetorical, One point is to find one or two purposes and execute them. I didn't come up with on my own - needed the help of my whole team, any one of whom is smarter than I j, an there's about 11;of them. I may die before success, but it's something to do alongside the tests, sickening meds, weight loss (wanted or not), 12 stepping, sponsoring, meditating, working 50 hours a week, spending about 12 hours a week at Mayo,, looking for work, helping others, seeking a partner, purging my arts pursuing my writing, not thinking about transplant, acknowledging death and it's near term likelihood without being paralyzed, finding the next person to help, building a craft, sending pages to my publisher, going to school for more enterprise IT stuff. I'll pause. "Two years" didn't make me an alcoholic or give me cirrhosis. Seeking death for 51 years, and ultimately finding it by trading life for oblivion via drugs, did. If you want to live, yes, I would expect you do, in fact, regret the actions that got you here. But if you can't do regret, I envy you. Tomorrow will bring what you eeek.
