Best trick I ever learned for pills, swallowing food and liquid ... plug your nose and take ... Worked first and everytime . It will work 100% ... nurse taught me what they do for children having trouble swallowing pills . It stops the last minute panic of taking air ... i guess ... anyway ... try( I have end stage as well...)

I stopped drinking some ten years ago with one short relapse about five years ago. It used to give me energy and calm my anxieties. I had to stop because it was taking over my life and i nearly lost everything. Alcohol drinking and partying gives a false view of what life should be, to our youths. I mean that when you drink regularly you may think this is what life should be. Life is full of challenges and hard times. When you drink all the time, you are not prepared to face life’s challenges.

My husband died eight years ago of non alcohol Related serosis of the liver. Because I had some of the same symptoms, I learned about the. Carnivore diet and went on it because that will take care of that problem. You might want to check that out.

I’m sorry to hear about your husband. And high protein is very important to a liver patient. Unfortunately there’s no revering cirrhosis. You can slow down the process. Buy yourself more time. How long? That’s hard to say. It’s been almost 3 years since I was diagnosed. And I eat mostly meat for the protein and there hasn’t been any healing. But I did give myself more time

I am 52 i have stage 3. My wife died at age 52 almost a year ago. She was in a state of confusion so I rushed her to hospital. She was put in ICU immediately after blood tests. Her ammonia was real high causing her confusion and she had end of life Cirrhosis. After 2 days they put a feeding tube and placed her on ventilator and within a week she was going into full organ failure and septic shock. I had to shut off all meds and ventilator. She passed away with just minutes. I had to bury her on Valentines Day in 2024. After that I went and asked for a full blood work up. My blood worked showed liver levels on high normal side. Met with a specialist told her my story. She ran deeper rest found me at stage 3 for my liver. I had a fatty liver in my early 20s the told me it was genetic back then. But now I'm at stage 3. So I seenbwhat end of life stage is and all the symptoms are. I pray for you that a miracle could happen and that you live a long healthy life.

Hi Neil, this video is nice & very informative, as usual. 👍🙏👏 I, too, have liver cirrhosis at end of life stage. After my gastroscopy (endoscopy) test last month in early December, my Hematologist confirmed that I need a liver transplant. A few weeks ago, my Hematologist confirmed that she has already transferred my liver cirrhosis file to the only hospital that performs liver transplants through their cirrhosis program. Since December to date, I've been struggling with many new uncomfortable, painful & difficult symptoms, esp daily shortness of breath from my ascites. I've been prescribed many new medications and probably more new ones to come, depending on any new symptoms that may come my way in the foreseeable future, which can at times causes me to lose my appetite and feeling lethargy. TBH, since I'm so scared of dying, I wish I could literally speak to someone who has or is experiencing the same disease as mine, by either over the phone or meet up in person. In fact, since you're very informative, I wish I could speak to you by phone only, since I'm Canadian in the Toronto area. 🙏❤‍🔥🙏

Hi Gemstar. I feel your pain and have a lot of empathy for you. Unfortunately right now Im in hospital waiting for an endoscopy to find out if i have any more varices in my throat that need binding or anything, as ive recently developed anaemia. This has messed with my appetite and ive lost so much weight i try not to look at myself in the mirror now to witness this gaunt skeletal 47 yo man staring back with haunted eyes…very upsetting, and has happened so quickly. Im end stage now too and trying to get back on the transplant list (developing pulmonary hypertension in my heart a year or so ago which means i wouldnt survive surgery ) and it is indeed getting scary. Ive just developed ascites and have been relatively lucky so far with overall symptoms compared with Neil for example but we are all in the same boat ultimately. Anyway i wanted to send you some love and understanding from Scotland (im a proud irishman though :) and definitely cant meet up with you sadly but a 🫂will hopefully help you feel a bit better. Its natural to fear death and again i truly empathise with you about this. For me i can just about compartmentalise this but my biggest struggle is regret. As Neil wisely says though there is nothing wrong about feeling down just dont let it dominate you. i try to enjoy the moments here and now and move on. Just need to stay away from that mirror for a while!

There’s not many medication for liver cirrhosis. Lactolose and xifaxin to keep the ammonia at bay. And diaretics to make you expell the water that can build up. I went from being in such bad shape and my life expectancy being 90 days to now. I haven’t had fluid build up in two years except some on my legs. The ammonia still goes up sometimes. So stay positive, try to eat healthy, lots of protein. And find a purpose. Something to focus on. You can email me at [email protected] just but liver friend in the subject line so I see it.

@AndrewMcevoy-d8n Thanks, Andrew, for responding to me & for sharing some of your health issues & symptoms. Last month, I had the banding placed with my enlarged varicies. That band caused so much pain and bloody vomiting. Basically, wherever there was an opening in my body, things would leave me from those openings in the most painful way. I also completely lost my appetite, and I thought I was death's door with no turning back time anymore. To date, I've been closely monitored by my family doctor, including other doctors and nurse practitioners who work alongside my Hepatologist. I guess they'd like to monitor how far I am from living a bit longer, long enough to get a new liver, or if I'm closer to death. I don't blame them for performing their job, but I find it very sad. I just rec'd a very sad news about a high school friend who passed away around the Christmas holidays because he didn't match for the liver transplant he was about to get. I didn't even know he was seriously sick until our mutual friend told me of his recent passing just a couple of hours ago. He was only in his mid-late 50s, just like me. I'll be 55 in 4 months. 😢

As someone who also lives alone, having a little critter or two around is a lifesaver and I'm glad you found some. It's so unfair you have to go through this entirely by yourself, but you're facing it with an inspiring amount of bravery and positivity.

That’s rough. I hope you get whatever outcome you’re hoping for. Alcohol is the worst ,most toxic, destructive drug out there if it’s abused. People would be better off using opiates if they’re going to abuse a drug.

Good friend of ours was military, and had all these symptoms after his booster for covid. It's not always the patients fault. Our friend was told he needed a liver transplant, and he took Ivermectin twice, and all the liver failure symptoms went away. Along with his 6000 ferritin reading.. It doesn't have to end badly

Crazy this is on my suggested. It's my dad's bday today. He died from cirrhosis at 31. I can't remember him. I was 3. He never had a chance to recover or be the incredible dad he was meant to be. He suffered immensely. Alchohol ravaged his body. He was so young. Thank you for sharing your story. I think it will help others on both sides of addiction. I wish you healing and relief.

I went to ER after a month or 2 of ab pain.. ct scan showed all my organs are purring like a kitten and im even no longer pre-diabetic... BUT i DO have alcoholic fatty liver. I was 1000% sure the ct scan would show major problems in my guts after years of flat stools, diahrea, pain.. and knowing all the drinks ive down for the last 20 years. The thing that finally got me to go in to the ER? I clocked into work and went to the toilet and filled it with black liquid! Shook me to my core. I guess pepto bismol can cause black stool! I am still completely shocked all my organn and blood work came back healthy.. not shocked that my liver is fatty tho! I stayed the night hooked up for observation and got 2 rounds of ativan amd thiamine. They drew blood every 4 hrs and in the am concluded the possible internal bleed in my colon was just an over read of the ct scan and i was semt home. New lease on life! But im still drinking beer! I cant seem to stop it :( but at least i know where i stand and since abstaining from hard liquor i havent had any wothdraw symptoms since and my anxiety is almost zero in the am, in the middle of the night or in the day hours after my last drink..

I’m just gonna say one thing. I came across your video from three months ago. You look exactly like my friend Phil Miller, who passed away from liver cirrhosis. Physically, you look just like him. And I don’t think you get it. I just have to be honest - you don’t get it. None of your videos talk about what dietary changes are you making every day all day to change your situation. It’s all dietary. All of it. What changes are you making? I went through a few of your videos and you don’t even talk about it. I want you to live. My friend Phil did the same thing - he had his head in the sand. He was your age. I don’t understand your channel. I want you to change, but you are headed the wrong direction. It’s all dietary - you can turn it around.
