Props to you for starting so young. I wish i had too. I am well on my way to my goals now, but the longer you wait, the more you have to invest to get the return you want. I had to do some maths a couple times converting to USD 😅

One advice. We slowly go inbto the tiktok generation where all has to be short. I would advice you to study new waqys to present videos and cuts and scenes. MY attention can't focus on a long video with the same person look ing at me 95% of the time. hope that helpos.

Nicole you are Brilliantly Hilarious! If it's not too personal, and at this point I can't imagine it would be 😆 could you share your thoughts on God and Creation? It'll probably blow up You Tube though🤣

Another thing I do to save money is BATCH COOKING> Pull out that crock pot and make soups, stews, chili, beans, whatever and then freeze in containers so you always have a work lunch or quick dinner. This saves me from forgetting to bring a lunch and having to spend money at Subway or Tim Hortons

Most places where I used to hang out are either gone, or in sketchy areas. I go online on a website where I meet other lonely people in groups. We go to bars to play trivia, out to eat, or events. Now I have several second places to go, in addition to flea markets, thrift stores, and antique malls and my workshop

I moved out of my parents' house aged 24, felt it was well overdue. Moved in with a boyfriend. Looking back I wish I had felt more secure, been braver, aimed to be more independent, get my own place somehow. Just did not have your courage, Nicole, such wisdom. Hindsight is a great thing but I'd do things differently if I could. My 20 y/o daughter lives with me, I hope her path is smarter and she's more resilient than me.

I'm extremely happy to live in Warren Buffet style , I'm not " flash " and flash does not appeal to me in the slightest , I love my freedom , that is the one thing you can actually buy " freedom " , and I'm a slave to no one ... But also , there will be very few who know that about me .

I have a friend who has worked 30 plus yrs to have her Superannuation fund healthy for her retirement. Her husband has not the same security in Superannuation...... hes only started attempt to have savings for retirement. If he doesn't have the means to retire then the load of his old age will be her legal responsibility. This is happening a lot to people in their 50s in Australia.

I agree with you about most of the items on your list. In particular, a gym membership is a waste of money. The fuss and bother of packing my stuff and going to a gym isn't great. Then, when you get there, you have to wait to use the machine you want. Either that, or figure out the time of day that the gym isn't too busy. Screw that! I get up early every morning and work out at home. I have a stationary bike for my cardio and a couple sets of free weights and I do just fine with those things.

genx here, I loved parents but, I couldn't wait to live life on my own terms. I Bought my first car at 16, moved out at 17 and have never lived with them since. I have lived in 4 countries, my first overseas stint when I was 19, completely alone.I've traveled to more than 20 countries , worked for many COs, from tiny startups to major corps. Started failed several businesses, walked the great wall of China, been the castles of Europe and the ancient cites of Japan to the outbacks of Australia . Owned and sold real estate in North America in and overseas. Im not here to brag, and I realize that times have changed, but.....life is short, you gotta grab it hard and hold on tight, and enjoy the ride while it lasts. You never know where it will take you

Skip Amazon all together. Make purchases with local businesses. If the local businesses aren't being supported, they will all disappear. Personally, I don't want online shopping to be my primary option because there is no other option.

Not only at Temu (I don't buy much), but with all online sellers, I put things in my shopping cart and leave it for a few days. If I still think I want/need it, maybe I'll buy it. Often I'll put it in "buy it later". On Amazon's site, I have stuff that's been in my "buy it later" list for years. Some sites will come back and offer discounts on stuff in your cart. I've bought from woodworking tools from Temu. They are high quality, though are ripoffs of other tools, right down to the colors. Aluminum extrusions and castings are pretty cheap from China, so they can be cheap, while not being cheaply made. I don't buy ripoffs of tools designed/invented in the US. The inventor deserves to be paid, but I buy pretty simple things like rulers and squares.

this video is very inspiring. Painting is my hobby and I often buy new materials. This video ispired me to take out of my current shopping cart and leave only things I truly think would make me enjoy art more, and I removed excess items that I don't need or that I can substitute easily with things I have but are still new amd unused.
