You absolutely changed my relationship with vintage shopping. I went to my first antique store a few weeks ago and all I got was a little dish for my mom but it felt and still feels so special. it's one of my goals for 2025: to antique shop waaay more. Thank you for sharing

Hi McKenna, just dropping a line to say missing your lovely energy of spirit in all u freely share for all of us. HNY💖hope all is well:).

It's very simple. It's not longer time period oriented. If it's over 100 years old, it's antique. If it's 50 years old, it is vintage.

I thought it was ok do a little quick prayer but I had someone pray for me she said I got a used item. I never got second use stuff before. She said the woman it belonged to was sad going through a divorce and I guest I’m gonna feel the same way. True 7yr relationship ended.

Ma'am your channel looks very nice but the problem is that your channel has no subscribers compared to the videos and your channel has not done any SEO for which later if you upload more videos then your channel will not run on KZbin and the targeted view audience will not get subscribers

Fellow mama here! You're doing a great job! Very inspiring to see you do your craft and balance mom/relationship life. I'm grateful to hear that you are thinking about your baby's safety, as many parents don't! You sharing your child's images/videos/milestones should only be fruitful for the people actually involved in his life. With what you choose to show, please be mindful of the type of images/videos you post of him due to the number of creeps out there🥴. Child image selling is very serious and disturbing! Wishing you and Romeo the best as your family grows deeper in bond.

When decorating for the holidays (specifically Christmas) I have different rooms that have different color themes! My upstairs is green and red and has a lot of the classic Christmas and downstairs we have a dark blue, silver and gold theme! This started when my husband and I got our first tree, tree skirt and ornaments together and we picked out a beautiful dark blue tree skirt that had stars all over. We couldn’t resist but it didn’t match the stuff we already had. We have two distinct gathering spaces in our home so we made it work!

Could your first dilemma question maybe use gold with icy blues or silver with icy blues, or whites and/or creams with icy blues. Christmas isn’t Christmas without Hallmark movies, hammy or not 💚

Now Cade has arrived you'll find everything moves quickly my son is almost 31 and my younger, daughter is 27 and is in Japan with her BF of 11-12 years. he's been so patient, we sent her to Florence for10 months, its part of her Ontario college of Art university program and I knew that so fed her TFSA, I saw them saying goodbye, that was no break up smooch! Then she came home and had a her Grad year, so she was up to her neck in preping for her year end show ( she won all the fine art competitions) then moved in with her florence roomies,SHE AND James moved in together in Sept 2023, so i feel ripped off, and feel they moved out far to soon andnow they are away for a few more weeks and I WILL BE DOING A WHOLE NEW THANKSGIVING DINNER!

On decorating with a blue Turkish rug for Christmas… ribbon is my friend!! A couple of years ago I purchased gorgeous velvet (4 inch and 1 inch) ribbon in dark blue and showy ice blue to place on the tree and in garlands- stunning! Pulled the blue in and helped blend original Christmas decor!

Hi Macenna 😃 love your channel and your amazing vibe. Could you please do a podcast episode on decoration tips for when we have a puppy/dog inside the house? Perhaps you would be able to provide suggestions on beautiful decor that would be safe around indoor pets 🐕 by reflecting the relationship with your pup Kinsley.
@user-nlvmruu3 ай бұрын
this first subscriber submission has got to be fake the photos are professionally styled and lit. also i don’t think it’s absurd to replace your rug for the holidays. Especially if you have an open spot in your closet, garage, under your bed… so by saying “no one’s going to do that” is weird especially when you follow it up with “if you do that’s so cool” 👀💀and a blue rug doesn’t mean you need to do blue holiday decor. and blue holiday decor isn’t ugly lmao also rude lots of jewish people decorate with blues and silver in the winter months - tbh I think you struggle with color you’re very muted and bland so like you’re not the best person to answer that

We had a business and I had so many dinner parties and Christmas was 3 parties back to back. One of about 100, 60 and 30. I cooked for all them, decorated every room and bathroom for years. I was young so I was like the energizer bunny. I used Pinterest for inspiration too. Now at 75 I wonder How did I do that,lol. I-still have family over and I set a beautiful table ..it makes people feel special. One drawback if you entertain like that is no one ever invites you over to their house because they feel they cant compete with that, but I say all that for you to invite someone like that because they just want to be with you and don’t care if you eat on paper plates. We all like to be invited.❤

So McKenna in your particular kitchen, the blue tone that you chose to do your hood over your stove with it’s not so predominantly blue that greens of certain tones could not and would not marry with it So don’t be misled folks she has a lot of great information, but you have to remember that she is talking and giving her advice based off of how, 1) she thinks and feels and 2) what her perception of what she in visualize her rooms in her home to be! And this is what she’s trying to get you to do! So don’t be discouraged by your own home decor or color just learn to recognize the colors on the color wheel that will all coordinate together and that’s just a matter of googling itYou don’t need somebody else to tell you what’s right or what’s wrong because in their eyes what they are telling you is what they say so it’s right for them. It may not necessarily be for you so keep that in mind.

Can you do a podcast on colors? You do such a good job at picking complimenting colors for your spaces. You talk about cool versus warm colors etc. How to pick colors and tones is a skill you need to share with us and give us a guide on how to pick colors in our own spaces ❤

I can relate to the challenge of decorating for seasons or holidays around a distinctive permanent color in a space. My living room walls are a dark rich blue (Pure & Original's fresco lime paint in Ink Blue), so I had to be very mindful of how I styled the rest of the room. Most of the furniture is white or light beige to offset the darkness (we also have huge windows for natural light), and for everyday decor (non-seasonal/-occasion) I use a lot of burnt oranges and blush pinks in the rug and textiles for warmth, because I think those pair well with the dark blue. For autumn I lean even more heavily into that burnt orange and a touch of richer jewel tone reds and greens. For Christmas, I go all out on the winter theme, like Macenna mentioned ☺️ Lots of white, light beiges, darker browns (think leafless trees and warm spices), a touch of pine green for an organic feel, and of course looots of gold for the festival of lights ✨

Hi hun! I'm 32 and have watched you for years, since your video of building your first patio furniture at the apartment! And how you've evolved and grown since then is admirable! I've loved more than anything watching you and Romeo enter this chapter and phase of starting a family, as I currently don't have kids but feel that biological clock ticking Lol As much as I/we love your content, we don't want you to ever stress over it to the point you get burnt out and quit all together. Or that creating the content isn't as enjoyable and is more of a chore. Take time to enjoy this precious baby boy and your family unit, and know that we'll be along for the ride together as long as you'll have us ❤

I’m in KS (Midwest living). I absolutely love the idea of blending indoor outdoor feel but how do you deal with the bugs in CA. This time of year, flies galore here. Summer=gnats & mosquitoes. How do you combat that or do you just use a deterrent?
