Hey kookz. I can only imagine what you're feeling after parting with the van. But life is all about change right? I will say that some of my best memories are going on van trips with my kids as they were growing up. Don't be afraid to get out and adventure with the baby. We did 4-week van trips when each of my kids were only a few months old! Fun to see the Team Cletus sticker in a few scenes too! Good luck and best wishes!

I’m a bit confused about your wire size from your battery to the inverter. You said you’re using #4 from the battery to the inverter. That’s ( if it’s thhn) only good for 95 amps. A 12 volt battery feeding a 2000 watt inverter could produce 166 amps (2000/12=166.6). sounds like #4 would be inadequate. Why would a person use a 200 amp fuse with wire that’s only rated at 95 amps? Maybe I’m missing something.

How did you know where to screw the cabinets? And make sure that the screws don’t go into the wood framing and the metal? Just the wood framing. I’m nervous because I have some framing that is 3/4 in boards and some is 1/2 boards

The plastic in a lot of newer vehicles is plant based ( soy ) so it attracts rodents, especially wire coatings . The brand name drier sheets are what we use to keep rodents out of our rv in storage, and balsam oil works well too just coat the plastic.

Your install went well. I hooked mine up, read the manual twice, checked every connection and it's only charging at 4 amps instead of 40 amps. Still waiting for Renogy to respond to a service request zzzzzzzzzz.

Buy a light weight trailer like a Uhaul Type trailer, and store your junk 😮

I did a fairly detailed analysis of a larger system comparing a brand name DIY vs. the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra 6kw battery/inverter combo. The Echoflow was roughly 20% less and provided more features like 220v (Should you need to do some wash or welding from your RV) . I would love to see you duplicate this as I have limited knowledge of the subject.
