I was reminiscing a little bit and thought this: I grew up without really having a grandpa in my life and watching your videos throughout my 20's kind of felt like capturing some of the magic of having a great roll-model such as yourself. I often thought how great it would have been to have had a grandpa just like you, full of energy and a zest for life. I will honestly remember you for the rest of my life, I am sure. Hi B27! The water in the hole often starts to freeze over, but I periodically break up the ice and use a plastic strainer to remove it. Thanks for watching!

Hi Poonam! I've never tried this method with thick fish fillets such as salmon. My guess would be that the method will work if the temperature inside of your barbecue grill is not too high. I would try to keep it between 375° F (190°C) to 425°F (220°C). 4 minutes on each side would be my guess too. I'm sure your Indian spices will impart a magnificent flavor. I know the bluegill grow enormous down there in Texas, so they must be a thrill to catch. Oh and yes bluegill are so fun to catch my 6 year old daughter loves fishing for them her biggest one was 10inch and put a good fight but my biggest one was about 13inch and probably 2-3 pounds

Hi Kevin! Yes, Ms. Lulu and I are indeed enjoying our retirement, though we miss you all. Lake Ketchabigwon is much like it always has been. Most bass are still small, but I'm still catching some giant bass. I'm still culling the small ones, but because I don't feel the pressure of doing catch and cook videos every week, I'm not harvesting as many, thus I often find myself throwing them back out of laziness. Filleting them is a bit of work, as you know well. The bluegill are still plenty big. I'm catching many of them at around 8½ to 9 plus inches. Believe it or not, the grass carp are still here! I saw a couple of huge ones last week cruising the shallows. That means the youngest grass carp are at least 35 years old! They are no longer able to denude the lake of weeds though. In fact, the weeds (mostly brittle naiad and water lilies) are so thick in places that I have a lake management service spray for them twice each summer.
