I had 8 attempts starting from the age of 11 years old. I realised that my problem wasn’t my life. It was the people around me. I still experience that if i am away from my family i get better. For context they abused me, physically, sexually and mentally so, for everyone struggling maybe try to get away from those who make you feel the pain.

4:18 "Dried-up cactus patch." Great analogy! I'd like to think of it as a garden of bones, cause dear Lord, she was barely a person to him. I'm glad they played it off as comic relief, but the thought of being trapped in that kind of marriage legit terrified me.

The resignation George has knowing his illness has no cure really resonated with me. It's wonderful to see how far modern medicine has come, but we still have a long way to go. And for some things there quite simply is still no cure.

7 years of my life, manipulative, coercive and the worst part is he made me wanting to be touched as I layed there trembling trying to dissolve in passiveness being repulsed by it, but physically my body made my mind yearn for it. I find that utterly disgusting. My no was smothered in confusion and still I feel like I was an accomplice.

I am so glad that Arcane shows us that all it takes is a secure attachment to friends and family to beat mental illness! It is a message of hope. You don't need medication or therapy or work on yourself. You need LOVE. like just watch BoJack Horseman instead

Ekko has every right to give up on Jinx. She is not alternate_Powder. She is not the version Ekko wants her to be. We see her KILL Ekko's friends and people. He has fallen for someone who doesn't exist and projects these feelings onto someone else to deal with the loss and grief over his childhood friend and impossible possibilities. Jinx suicide scene is infuriating to me. In my eyes, it highlights the absence of a relationship between them. How little she cares if her bomb kills him too. In there, she is not the victim. She has no regard for life, and it clashes with everything Ekko stands for. In my mind, the writers chickened out. Instead of doing the hard thing (having Ekko and Jinx rebuild their relationship + showing that Jinx changed), they went the easy way with multiverse shenanigans. With how willing Ekko was to forgive Jinx it is hard to believe that he didn't offer her an out before and she didn't take it. So what changed inside her? What is it she stands for?

Absolutely, that is the thing that bugged me the most about this season, specifically that this moment didn't get explored more and other critical character development things get started and then we just cut away before we actually see what happens. I heard elsewhere that jinx probably initially thinks ekko is juat a hallucination, hence why she doesn't try to not blow him up initially
@jukori23 сағат бұрын
@@crowbirdy I feel you. Set up without payoff. Filling the gaps is fine, but the audience should not be expected to write a whole character arc in their heads for things to make sense... It is an interesting theory, but then again if she really thought he wasn't real why did she jump before the last attempt (presumably saving his life) and not in the others too? why would she assume he was real in this one instance and not in the others - she didn't. He told her something she liked to hear (calling her a friend) and in return, she showed a shred of consideration for his well-being.

Jinx in the original universe showed symptoms of schizophrenia - most prominent the auditory and visual hallucinations talking to her and her talking back. How realistic is it that alternate Powder did not suffer from Schizophrenia in this universe? (keep in mind both versions of Powder experienced severe trauma at the same age - loss of a family member)

Being in a committed relationship for me, feels like this: You're in a burning building. You had 5 mins to get out, but now the doors are locked and you're stuck. Maybe you can find a window to jump out of to get to safety. I might break a leg, but I'm free. I know. Messed up. Lmao i see a loving committed union as a burning fire.

I grew up with this show, I'm 33 and I wished my parents, especially my mom gave me the talk and let me opened up and have a dialog but nope! I dreamed of having a mother daughterrelationshiplike this but it wasn't! My parents were emotionally neglected but not there fault and I also grew up in the church and I've never had sex I'm waiting for marriage but that's my decision but I wished they would of had a more emotional relationship with me and my siblings! I'm emotional stunted and I totally don't blame them because they adopted me and I'm grateful but they needed to be there for me emotionally

I have done a Little therapy and so far I haven’t found one that I felt connected to or really felt even remotely comfortable with. The last one I had was nice and she knew what she was talking about, but her personality was too different for me. It also felt weird because it would take her a couple minutes for Her to process what I would say. It was awkward because it’d be silence while she was processing. It probably works for her and her other clients but with my adhd, it takes me out of the setting when I have to wait for the therapist to think and process. I also was put off when she’d say “I’m empathic and can Feel what you feel”. Ummm I always feel it’s weird when people announce that and for me, it’s a big turn off as a personality trait. Some people Truly are an empath, but from experience, the ones who broadcast it are Not. Sooo that went nowhere essentially. I did couples counseling Many years ago and the therapist would side with my now ex every single time, no matter what the issue was. I have not had good experiences with any of it in my life. So I deal as best I can.

I wonder what you mean with "husband love"... I understand brotherly or sisterly love, of parents, of friends, but what is the character of husband/wife love when you discount the physical aspect? On an emotional level, what is that defines love worth of a marriage? Is it the wish of an exclusive relationship (even in case of polyamorous people, they choose to be a recognised couple, as open as it may be)? It is not the feeling of being carried away by the presence (or absence) of the other person, because this is bound to fade. Is it the choice of giving them centrality in our life? Did you realise you were not putting each other at rightful stand in your priorities? If it is so, I respect so much how well you are going through this, in accepting your own mistakes and responsibilities and giving forgiveness.

I have a question this isn’t what’s happening with my current therapist, but I have this happen with my previous therapist. I told them that I didn’t want them to bring up the subject anymore, but they kept bringing it up and now it’s gotten to a point in my life that because they kept doing that in the past, I can’t get those thoughts out out of my mind. And I don’t even know what to do.

Since the therapeutic approach can differ therapist to therapist, sometimes it’s nice to just get a fresh perspective from a new therapist. I had the same therapist from 2015 to January of this year. They were great, but I noticed recently I was plateauing in progress. Now I’m trying a new therapist. Nothing wrong with mixing it up when progress stalls.

In Germany you need not to pay for Therapie, but it is almost impossible to get an appointment when you are not completely flexible with your timeshedule because of worktimes for example. And if you have the chance it is like you appley for a job. You sit there knowing the therapist has the choice between you and hundreds of others clients,while you have almost just that chance for an appointment with a therapist. So you start talking about the reason why you need help, which is most of the time hard stuff to deal with and you are talking to a stranger who looks at you knowing that he/she doesn't need you as a client. And almost for sure you will get an negative answer that he/she desides for somebody else. So you start again. That is just hurtful
@t.mustermann2 күн бұрын
Oh OK or you pay like in many countries 70 - 100 euro/h wich is not better. But than you have a better chance. And if you feel that you are so miserable that you can't work, so very late in progress of dealing with your issues, you perhaps will get an appointment earlier.

"Punching out" of your work is so important. I was a severe workaholic up until about two years ago. After some serious self-reflection, I noticed that I was constantly thinking about work, even on days when nothing was actually going to go wrong. I ended up leaving the position that I was in for one where my job can literally only be done at work so that I could also learn how to turn off my "work brain." I'm glad I did. For now, I feel like I can go back to a job in the future where it could be a risk, but I can actually manage myself better to separate my time ❤.

Somenthing that i did'nt catch in the first watch, is that before ekko talks to jinx, Vi (her sister)had a similar conversation with her, but she said 'we can re-write your story' (smnting like that) but that's not true, you cannot re-write somebodys story, you can't undo mistakes bc mistakes have consecuences, people had passed and people have changed, that's why ekkos phrase worked, "no matter what happend in the past, is never too late to build something new". Also helps her to see herself diferent from the label of Jinx and Powder

2:31 I believe that "strobe effect" is because the animation is in 4 frames per second. This is a refference to Ekko's ultimate ability in game in which he goes back to a projection of himself four secons behind in time. Alan for sure knows about this stuff!
