The first video I watched less than a third of it and being somewhat of a motor-head, decided to quit as it wasn't much help. Yours was the second, and I went no further. Let me say this, you ARE a teacher my friend, the was video perfect! I really appreciated how you treated the caliper pins and your method to free them up if they get stubborn, freeing up the piston boot with a pick tool if it is binding to it, lubricants used and finally the details of lining up the slots on the piston with the pins on the pad back plate. What year is your mazda cx9, is it same fluid for 2020?

I was planning to use this Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in my new 2024 Ford Escape, but it doesn't have the WSS-M2C962-A specification recommended by Ford. Right now, I am debating between Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 full synthetic that Pennzoil's technical team recommended for me to use and Motorcraft 0W-20 full synthetic that Ford recommends for me to use.

You should tell your viewers this entire CX9 unerpins are FORD. I DO OUR MKX EVERY 80K AND USE REDLINE DIFF FLUID.

I do mine every 20k miles. I use REDLINE HIGH TEMP 75W140 OIL ON MY 2012 LINCOLN MKX AWD. EACH CHANGE OIL IS DARK BLACK NO GUNK. AFTER CHANGE WOW WHAT A DIF. A LOCAL OILER DOES ITVFORCME.

Is it not better to use 5W-40 instead of the recommended 5W-30 for a hot running twin turbo like the one here, especially in hot summer months in places like Arizona and similar?

My owner’s manual and engine oil cap both say 5w-30.

I haven't used Pennzoil since the bad ol' days when they were famous for leaving a wax or paraffin build up. I know this doesn't apply anymore with the latest synthetic oils, but I'm an old dog and it's hard to change. Specially with Mobil One and other synthetics around.

I have a 04 nissan armada 5.6. Past 4 years every single year I have taken the truck to get ac freeon refills. Till this date every time I'm at idle or stopped at red light I get hot dry air on the ac. Only on highway I get somewhat fresh but not cold how it suppose to be. Can I get some help.

I have the same problems with my 2018 Pathfinder blowing hot air. Took to my dealer to find out what is up they came back telling me I have a leak on the rear pipe and it will cost me 3500 to repair which I find crazy, I need to find a second opinion on a simple repair on the rear pipes, I know it should not cost that much for ac repair.

Days later been cheeking the drain bolt and filter everything is all good no leeks no problem

The container is *identical* except the “Important circle to have (SN PLUS)” is not included in the circle? Only has API Service SP/SAE 5W-30/Resource Conserving. Any thoughts?? When you turn off compressor and you measure temp on suction line and temp is going up quickly it tells you valves are leaking high temp high pressure gas back through valves on a residential system. Would it be same for this? Thanks great video!

Thanks for this. The batt light in my 2014 CX-9 kept popping on while using a/c and headlights but the usual tests were normal. I used the multi meter and scan tool and it failed every load test. Bad alternator at 84k miles.

This video should be removed from KZbin because the narrator way way way over torques the oil filter cap onto the housing and the housing will likely break when the next poor guy tries to take it off. This mechanic illustrates why you should go to a dealer and motto an independent like him.

Best explanation of how to read the gauges! I've replaced the compressor, condenser and expansion valve on a 2003 Lexus sc430. The ac works great at or above 1000 rpm otherwise the compressor shuts off. Any ideas why?

Do you have a video for poor cooling at idle for systems like my 2009 Ford Fusion that don't have refrigerant control valves. I'm getting ready to begin a diagnosis on it. It has a new condenser, compressor, and TXV, so I'm suspecting a cooling fan issue, even though it didn't cool well doing 55mph yesterday with ambient temp of 95F. Note: the fan does kick on when ac is turned on inside the car.

Stop! Before you do this call a Jeep dealership (service and parts department). Have them run the VIN to find out what gear oil you need. Plus dont trust the owners manual. There are 3 different types of front and rear diffs for my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6. The owners manual listed 75W-140 (API-GL5) front and rear BUT because I upgraded to the tow package and have a rear diff without Electronic Limited-Slip (ELSD) I actually need 75W-85 (API-GL5). Other than that the video was awesome and made changing the fluid a breeze.

Is it possible that both front brakes would drag at the same time due to both hoses going bad at the same time? When I open the bleeder my brakes release like you did in the video. It does it after driving for 3-5 minutes then start dragging and then I have to open bleeder screw.

I just switched to PUP 5w30 in my 18 Edge 2.0L Ecoboost. Still using Motorcraft FL910 filter, was dealer serviced with 5w30 MC Semi synthetic. Can here a quieter, smoother sounding engine now.

PS....on the Nissans, you can change it out from under the car.

my dealer told me I needed a new compressor, but I found the a/c compressor control valve online for $16.99. Very easy change out on Nissan Altima's and Sentra's.

Great video! For me that greatest pain is to get the valve out of the compressor. I am using my hand to get it out but its not coming out. I don't want to use pliers and more force since I have seen on other videos that they use pliers and they break where the connector plugs in. If it breaks, the rest of the valve will be stuck inside the compressor and YOU will have to remove the compressor and if you cant get the valve out you have to problems. I don't want use any w40 or other stuff since I don't know if the AC will get contaminated. I will keep trying to see if it comes out, wish me luck.
