RTI is RTI, if don’t expect much you won’t be disappointed. I purchased an italian Vetterli and a French Gras Calvary Carbine. Both were in less-than great condition but it was as expected. They cleaned up good (I refinished the stock and bluing on the Vetterli and the same plus the brass on the French Gras) and the are hanging prominently on my wall in my office. @@GarandGuy2553 hi mate. Carcanos are (like the US) a relatively cheap Milsurp, however I would say 90% of what is advertised online are 91/38 Carbines (the ones with the fixed rear sight). In Australia we have 2 main online sites for trading 2nd hand (& new) gats, & in the last 18 months, I've seen 1 x TS Special, 1 x Cavalry Carbine & maybe 2-3 full length 1891 rifles (all 91/41's). Everything else is 91/38's. From what I've seen, on average 91/38's go for A$200-$400 (which is about US$130-$260). Exchange rate is about US $1 = A$0.65. The TS & Cavalry Carbine were far dearer around A$775 & $900 each respectively. Those prices don't include shipping which can be $75-$300, depending on what state to state transfer it is between. Sadly I live in the worst Aussie state for gun ownership & shipping costs to WA from East Coast are very expensive (& not always possible) due to our states police & Govt making it in many ways too difficult, to the point that some East Coast dealers now refuse to ship to WA. As a example in WA, a Collectors Licence (equivalent to your C&R), only permits you to own, "NOT use" a Collectors Firearm. Per the letter of the law, a firearm on a Collectors Licence is not even allowed to leave your property/safe unless with special permission from police.

Part of the draw with the Martini Henry for me at least, IS the cartridge. It's so out of the realm of what we consider a normal cartridge today, even considering .45-70, BP or not. If someone really wanted to shoot a Martini in another caliber, I'm sure someone could have a replica made with a new barrel, the Martini is really a very simple rifle and it wouldn't be an impossible task to build a whole new one from scratch even as a one-off, then chamber it in .45 long colt or whatever else you fancy.

I have been thinking about this semi auto pistol. Two weeks ago I shot a full auto Wilson tube gun. I thought it was amazing. From the videos of the semi, it looks like the full auto has less recoil. I thought it was more fun than a select fire MP-5. The cyclic rate was so slow. I found the stock uncomfortable and unnecessary. I shot most of the rounds with the stock folded. I also found the sights were not needed in full auto with my target 40 yds away. The recoil was so mild you could walk your rounds in. I can't afford the MG so I thinking about the semi.

I have a tip for royal tiger imports buy individual list if you want to know what your getting. Otherwise you have to roll the dice. Keep in mind that alot of the firearms come from Africa and were used by mostly untrained troops or gorilla war fighters. Who were handed a rifle and told how to shoot it and sent to fight. Then when the war was over they were stacked in open air warehouses aka chicken coup like fire wood for 50 years. So have low expectations. I hear the itialian rifle came from both itialian armory and Ethiopia. The ones that came from Italy are in good shape not so much from Africa. Thanks for the video good job.

Wow, what a negative persicity dick. RTI gives us this great opportunity to buy some very cheap surplus rifles and you poop poo all over it saying. "don't buy from them they lie" and all this. They don't lie. They describe them in bad grade and sell them in bad grade. Because most Ethiopian rifles were used until they were used up and then stored in a giant tool shed. So yeah they are going to be beat and worn out. The information to know exactly what your getting is all on their website. If you don't want to buy a shitty M-95 for $150, you can go else where and buy and nice one for $650-700. You get what you pay for. Don't expect just cause they have a bunch of them they are just going to let them go from some great deal. They are a business trying to make money and they put a lot of work into bringing these to the US market. I don't work for RTI. I am just a gunsmith who finds their guns to be a great source for parts or restoration projects. If you want to be lazy about it and shoot a gun right out of the box, go to any gun shop. If you want something cheap, interesting, and in need of some TLC before you shoot it. Shop RTI. But don't expect cheap and ready to shoot.
