How will it work with a 9900k on 4k along with 4080rtx + 32gb ram? Will i get a crippled performance compared to your 9800x3d?

Unfortunately the 9900k is a fair way behind. So in the cities etc I think you'll see sub 30 FPS. Probably best to wait for a free fly if you don't already have the game!

FACT: In this year 2025 the new nVidia GPUs (rtx 5090, 5080, 5070) will enable players to experience a smooth +60 fps gameplay. Till now many old and new players did not invest much money and time in Star Citizen because the game is not playable (low fps on "affordable" PC builds and many bugs everywhere). As far as I know, CIG should mainly focus on bug fixing in year 2025 (as they promised). Also this year more powerful and affordable GPUs (coming 2025) will make the game finally "playable" soon. Thus the game Star Citizen will not die because CIG will have many more active customers playing this game in 2025 and also investing more money into buying ships (because the game will finally become stable "playable" in 2025). After Q1-Q4 of the year 2025 CIG will raise MUCH more money that will help CIG finance the development of better gameplay/flight mechanics, build more star systems and produce more playable ships every following year. And with more content/starSystems/fixes the gameplay will be much more interesting for singlePlayer gameplay because more content/mechanics/starSystems will reduce the danger of griefer/pirate problems for the casual single player base (which is probably around 80% of total SC players). P.S. During CitizenCon2024Specs/FPS/prices of new 2025 GPUs were not clearly known, the priority of bugFixing for CIG in year 2025 was also not clear=> thus "unexpected low" funding for CIG during CitizenCon2024, also other reasons contributed to that (ship nerfing and cancelation of "AI crew" so much needed to be able to experience huge ships as a real "Kirk/Spock/StarWars captain" made the playerBase stop funding CIG). Everyone wants to sit in the captain's chair on a large ship, almost no normal player wants to be mainly an unimportant totally bored gunner/mechanic on all flights. Pirate org players could still have fun as gunners, but most players are casual single players that have no time/wish to play in an org. Without the main player base (casual single player makes around 80% of all SC players) wanting to buy large ships (to experience the flights as a real fleet captain/Kirk via "AI crew") the CIG funding is lower now. CIG must make "AI crew" a priority if the company wishes to survive in the long run. Feel free to write your comments if you do not see it this way. [Deleted by Nightrider-CIG] .

My buddy on 32GB keeps crashing around orbituary in pyro. All of us on 64 aren't crashing and that's the only major difference. I popped a r_displayinfo after he crashed last time and had 38GB of ram committed. The rest of the group who didn't crash had similar amounts committed when they checked. Not sure if there is a memory leak in 4.0 or what but it is definitely making a difference there.

Everyone that plays it has been kidnapped by the insane price tags and have to play it to justify spending that much on dogshit.

12400 $100, 12600 $130. PCIe 3.0 won't work. Minimum is 10th gen on PCIe 4.0 and 11th gen that enables INTEL DTT that is needed to run APO. You would have to run higher tier 10th and 11th gen to have decent performance. That said in my opinion anything less than 12th gen is waste of money. AMD you shouldn't even try as the mid tier won't work. As pointed INTEL ARC needs REBAR/E Cores and more from the CPU. These are not optimized on AMD CPU because AMD/Nvidia GPU's won't need it. INTEL ARC is build for INTEL CPU's. 12th, 13th, 14th and Arrow Lake. PCIe 4.0 x8 eliminates PCIe 3.0. There just isn't enough bandwidth on PCIe 3.0 x8 as it also would be cut half from x16. I'm not sure why all this clickbait when INTEL showed the card with i9-14900 and everyone knows better the CPU better the ARC performs. I'm running i7-13700k with A770 and i5-12600 with B580. Both are pretty good and I'm running 4k/1440p/3x1080p.

@paulboyce85372 күн бұрын
@@GreyDeathVaccine The issue is pushed because AMD is not selling. Direct competition. So if they take unsupported PCIe 3.0 CPU or lowest on INTEL side of course the performance is marginal. i5-12600 for example $130 is pretty good budget option. With AMD CPU you also loose APO and it is not as good and optimized for INTEL. Different architecture.

It's a BS test using low end and low end AMD and PCIe 3.0 x8. It's crying about nothing. Only reason this BS is going on because people don't understand the differences on architecture and none of these AMD channels is willing to clear it up. Instead it has become clickbait seeking parroting the BS.

The real question is... is the 7600X3D good enough of a CPU for B580? 'cause that's the only CPU that completely makes sense with B580 price-wise

Yeah good question- I wish the 7600X3D was available in the UK! I personally would want the extra cores of the 7800X3D for the future (and I guess possibly in this case). I'm probably due to do some more core count testing for SC, so I'll add it to the list.

U, let's see !!!! I was hoping you'll get your hands on one and test it. After video: Interesting. Seems like Intel still needs a lot of optimization on the software side. However a new idea: compare the B580, 3060 and 6600XT in a FPS/price chart? I mean... Radeon 6600 + Ryzen 7800X3D, 1080p => Max 42.2 FPS and on Amazon it is listed for 205 GBP ( I know it is not 5800X3D, but you've tested this card once only and with that CPU :-D ) RTX 3060 + Ryzen 5800X3D , 1080p => Max 38 FPS and on Amazon it is listed for 255 GBP Intel B580 + Ryzen 5800X3D, 1080p => Max 35 FPS and on Amazon it is listed for 318 GBP This means the FPS/GBP race is won my AMD and the Radeon 6600 (tho I recommend a 6650XT for almost the exact same price, but you've not tested that one yet) - AMD: 4,8 GBP / frame - NVidia: 6,7 GBP / frame - Intel: 8,3 GBP / frame Either I've done something wrong here or the Intel card is way more overpriced than the others. And I've not even considered you can try to make a bargain on ebay for used card as well, so..... AMD Wins? I guess?

I have build a system half a year ago for a 16 year old to play games and do some work. Ryzen 5600 and the 6650 XT paired with 32 gb RAM. The game was pretty stable to my suprise. The system runs with less spikes in 1080p then my system with the 5800X3D , 64 gb RAM and the 7900XTX in 4k. Reducing the game to 1080p will actually do nothing frame wise because the CPU is to slow. The GPU will clock down when the 5800X3D workload is over 65%. Upscaling will even load more on the CPU so the game will run worse with worse image quality. This game surprises me on so many levels. Almost double FPS on DX compared to Vulcan but Vulcan runs way smoother for my system. Vulkan is something we should consider for the performance charts. FPS maybe lower for some systems but also the frame drops are also not that hard.
