Raj, Thanks for sharing. A beauty ! Does it smell like a new vehicle ? 😉 I wonder if there are ~ 189(?) solar cells representing the 700W array ! Is there the rose gold aluminum center console. I supposed they wanted to make it more generic as the Codex color on the seat belt is not detailed(?) It would have been to ok vulnerable to have added the Bunk cover and Flip up pants, Air In port on skirt.Maybe you got “ regen” 😉 Amazing what they have incorporated ! ENJOY!

Looking at the Aptera video and timestamps: - 0:44 - Switch panel to the right of the screen, plus a key. Looks like 4 switches. - 0.44 - Crossbar behind the two seats.Upper left side of the screen. - 1:38 - You can see the switch panel again and the sheetmetal panel to hold it, - 1:38 - There is a yellow and red connector next to the switches. A few other things: - Interior, I see all of their talk about the body yet nothing of the interior - Rear and front suspension. Lots of parts are missing. I guess they are waiting for them to show up. - Employees, do they only do these videos not showing employees actually working on them? - Is Aptera going to get this just rolling but have no interior and not even 50% complete just to show it can run under it's own power to generate excitement?
@RajGiandeep9 күн бұрын
PI 2 is just a rolling chassis basically. No interior parts are 100% PI 3 is just full finished interior PI 4 is the combination of 2 & 3. This will a finished inside & out.

As I understand Aptera now...I am ok with a variant that has no solar panels, a 1000 miles battery range. If smaller battery like 200 or 300 mile range may be my first mod will be to find a hybrid drive size of the electric drive.

Great, informative observations. Also if ANYONE at Aptera is listening, the render @4:41 is how the side windows should be built… narrow window split creating MINIMAL visual obstruction.

The base of these domes by Geoship is smaller than it would be if the base was the diameter of a circle. If you look closely, the domes bulge a few feet above ground level. It would have been more aesthetically pleasing if it was a true half circle, the way Pacific Domes built their domes. Also, it would have been more spacious.
@RajGiandeep13 күн бұрын
Not sure why they chose that method versus the pure circle footprint of Pacific domes

The fact that it's wider than our modern, hideously oversized pickup trucks does give me pause... I want vehicles to start getting smaller again. I get that it's still thinner than a semi and most US roads can accommodate them well enough, so the Aptera should be OK... but still. I like my little hatchback I currently have and somehow this two-seater is longer and wider. Still shorter than most full-size sedans at least, but length is usually not the biggest problem.

My only issue with a permanent magnet motor is this will impact the ability to coast. There will be inductive braking going on, even if it is small. Short of having some type of clutch that detaches the motor from the wheel you will not be able to bring the inductive braking to zero. But other than coasting, it is more efficient.
