Just came across your channel. I have two favorite pans that are 50 years old that have so much build up on outside. The insides and bottoms are smooth. What would would be the best method to remove this old crusty buildup?

With this particular test, is it possible that it just being dirty could make it slightly pinkish? Wish I could upload a photo to show

5m later update lol: didn’t have a magic eraser so I used a paper towel. No red/pink whatsoever. So question is now 1) is a paper towel good enough for this 2) am I good to go? Lol it was the faintest pinkish when I rubbed directly to the skillet but had a lot of dirt/seasoning on it

I have been searching for a way to use my can of Easy Off to clean two vintage skillets. I nearly tried a lye bucket until I found out our pipes in our home are PVC and the lye would probably damage them when I poured the liquid out when it was no longer needed. Then I thought I'd use Easy Off in a plastic bag which seems rather messy. I think this oven method is one that I'll use. Thanks so much for showing us how you did it and what not to do as well. Love your channel.

Great stuff! I’m just starting on the 2nd month of a Carnivore diet (high protein, low-calorie) from a fairly healthy low-carb diet previously: • No diarrhoea experienced • Eating more meals than I was previously • Never feel hungry • But losing 5lbs a week • Feel fine, feel great, all the time • And, yes, pretty sharp mentally too

Evaporust is priced crazy high most places. I have bought it for as little as $17.00 a gallon when buying 5 gallon buckets or got a real sale.

Samsung has no respect for their customers, or they would address this. The only thing these companies understand is taking your dollars elsewhere. The" customer is king" is not an empty phrase; it has teeth. When will people get that?

Shoot, I didn't even go full carnivore I just stopped eating copious amounts of grains (pizza, spaghetti, bread) Primarily just eat meat now but will have bread with a burger or brisket, or recently had rigatoni with meatballs an just ate 2 big meatballs with very little rigatoni. I feel 100% better already an it's only been 2 weeks. I was diagnosed with ibs an I feel near cured already. I am going to keep this up an determine whether to go full carnivore or not. I was actually on prilosec for a year for ibs with minimal benefits as I never had heart burn just leaky gut an the feeling I always had to go to the bathroom. I weened off that an tried everything lowering/quitting nicotine, caffeine you name it nothing really worked but this carnivore thing.

"It's taking the rust off but it's also taking the seasoning off" -the foremost KZbin expert on cast iron 🙄 I hate to break it to you buddy, but if your seasoning was right in the first place it wouldn't have rusted. Rust will only form on exposed metal. In other words if your rust eraser isn't pulling off your seasoning, it's also not doing anything to get rid of the rust.

Have used evaporust for years on my cast iron. Wouldn’t complain about the cost if you’re restoring antique Griswald or Wagner #13 or #14 that could be worth over a $1,000 when restored properly.

Another great vid! Can you explain the differences in the BSR Chef skillets? So far I have 3 and all three are different . One just says Made in USA, another says Chef 10, and the third has the typical century markings. I can't find anything about these on YT or online

Thank you for all your info on cast iron. I just found a 7 stick corn bread pan with the BSR handles and 27S 26 on the bottom of the center stick. Also one of the end sticks has a thinner wall on the tip then the other end has. It's in very good shape. Is this truly a BSR? Any info on this pan would be appreciated.... Thank you for your time and your words from God.

I’m trying to identify a family Dutch oven that we had in the 1700s in the Shenandoah Valley. It may have been brought over from Germany. Any tips?

Thanks for the info. Apparently, the small skillet my wife got from her grandmother is older than I thought. Number 5, 3 notch lodge. It was rusty when I found it in the back of her cabinet years ago. I lovingly restored it, and now it has a deep dark season on it.👍

I’m new at this and I’ve learned so much from watching your videos, thank you sir. I’ve been looking for a video on the proper way to dispose of the water from extensive use of the electrolysis. Can I dump it on the ground? How far from a water source is safe, ie. a lake or pond? Will it kill the grass? Can you please advise or provide a video covering this issue? Thank you.
