Bromelain strongly supports liver function. Eye issues are very very often cause by liver issues. the Liver Meridian in Chinese medicine is the only one that passes through the eye.

I never met anyone with glasses whose vision got better. Ive met tons of people who had minor blurriness that got better over time without glasses.

Is there any new technology for high myopia patients? I am coming up on cataract surgery with very high myopia. I've seen several doctors who have told me they would only recommended single vision monofocal, and definitely not multifocials. This is disappointing because I was hoping to be free of glasses.

What should be really frightening is the large number of PRESCRIPTION drugs in this country being manufactured in India.

I did patching and drops as a child. Patching is uncomfortable. The eyelashes constantly rub against the patch which is annoying and distracting. This is in addition to the blurry vision in the weaker eye. And in my case a bouncing image. I wonder if the medication route would improve if combined with vision therapy.

I'm comforted that you listed "-1.5" as an example of a small prescription. I have -0.75 in both eyes at 24, when I was 16 and first got glasses it was -0.5. So it increased but barely

Excellent summary and overview of new lens technology, and of the basic natural functioning of the accomodation process that naturally occurs.

Personally I fear deafness more than blindness but maybe that’s because I already have severe hearing loss on one side. But blindness is up there. Computers and devices, like the iPhone I am typing this on, are destroying many aspects of our lives and health. We are meant to be physically active and social creatures but these things are hijacking our dopamine system. We spend too much time sedentary and staring at screens. We are losing our interpersonal relationships with family, neighbors, colleagues and others that make life more fulfilling and healthy. It is part of the drastic polarization we are seeing in our society today. Don’t forget these devices also control our information and knowledge that in turn shapes our thinking in ways that for all our modern ideas about tolerance, have made the most intolerant generation.

Doctor, I have lower eyelid spasm on the left side and it came during finals week due to poor sleep and it stayed but decreases in intensity as time goes by however now I feel the nerve on the side of my nose twitching but not as bad. Should I be concerned even if symptoms lessen? Do the symptoms from the serious ones get better or worsen over time? Thanks.

This is a great video and it highlights the trend of re-discovering we're experiencing in modern day medicine; much of our treatment and cure appears to wait for us in our behaviours of the past. We've strayed too far away from ourselves.

I’ve had MD for awhile now and NOT ONE doctor in my health care system has informed me how to care for MD. they NEVER say a thing as to what I can do, not just for my eyes but the the whole body. Why do dr just give you a band aid then send you on your way???
