Love your sorta-sense of humor/smile about the whole process. You’re kind of like, “wtf? Wink wink.. I THINK it’s working” At the same time, do you ever wonder if maybe you were pulling up lake weeds, etc. in intake? And now that all home, 9.9 is just happy? I’m with you.. I don’t know jack about mechanical stuff, but it’s odd that it wasn’t choking out at home. Congrats!

Did not encounter weeds on my chelan trip. When I first started it up for my video, it had trouble starting, but I didn't film that part. In hindsight, I probably should have captured that aspect.

Hi! I’m staying on a property on Waldron Island soon and will be doing some rock fishing. I’m wanting to get some metal jigs and jig heads. Is 3-4 ounces usually the way to go for metal jigs and jig heads with soft plastics? Thanks for your input!
@ThePiscatorian3607 күн бұрын
Well, it all depends on the depth and currents on a particular day. Kelp greenling and cabezon are the only fish you can keep right now. Typically, you will find them in shallower water. Sometimes, I will use 1 oz wilson darts for the greenling in close. I think 3 to 5 oz is good for most applications. I will sometimes use heavier heads in May to try to get down faster in current for lings. All depends on what's going on. Have fun, tight lines!

@@ThePiscatorian360 not really mostly just casting
@ThePiscatorian360Ай бұрын
@gavincurry5798 Well, take a long rod that can cast a good distance. I would think your best bet from shore will be first and last light of the day being most productive. Try cast masters or little cleo's something with some weight to get them out there 3/8 or 1/2 oz. Chrome blue, rainbow trout, brown trout patterns. Also, bait fishing can be another option. Hopefully you will hook into one. Another option if you like streams is hope valley, west fork of the carson river approximately 40 min south of south shore. Salmon eggs or panter martin spinners for stocker trout.
