This was such a great recap series on the show. Thank you for putting so much work into it. The fact that Emmy Rossum was never nominated for an Emmy for her portrayal as Fiona is absurd. Honestly, she killed it every single time. Comedic moments AND dramatic moments. She gave the character so many layers and nuance. Her last season, while feeling slightly rushed, made sense for her and I would day she got the best ending for her story arc, in terms of writing and character development. When she left, the show just felt hollow. She was truly the heart of the Gallagher family.

What i hated about Frank's final speech was that the writers didnt mention Fiona, even if she wasn't there she deserved that mention, she was the most important one in the family. That disappointed me tbh

in my opinion they did that on purpose. along with intentionally destroying her character. the lawsuit, the loss of her investments, ford randomly having a wife, the slow descent into alcoholism and the assault all are so unlike fiona. the whole show, she's a gallagher sure, but she has morals and wanted to be nothing like her parents. she had a few huge mess ups like the liam situation, but she really was getting her life together and then they just destroyed her whole life and solved it magically with her moving away. and then they never mention her again. it just seemed like the problems on set were taken out on her character until she left the show. she just wanted to be paid the same amount as franks character, which i thought was fair because at least for me, she's what kept me watching the show. but nope. they decided to ruin the show by getting rid of fan favorites and replacing them with characters like TAMI. 🙄 and that suicide note really made me hate the show in the end. i'll watch up until fiona leaves but those last seasons truly are shite. can't believe out of ALL THINGS ON THIS PLANET, frank the cockroach dies of fricken covid.

@@cainvarner oh no don't say that!!! if i remember correctly, it was covid that killed him. he put on that dirty mask on the street and then immediately got sick, then when his heart stopped in the hospital they find the DNR tattoo, and couldnt contact the family. but i could be wrong. unfortunately (for me) i may actually have to rewatch the last season to find out

The decline of the script for franks character is so sad, they take a very complex character and just kinda watered him down and played him for laughs, also I love this series so much thank you for working so hard on it!! I’ll be re-watching these videos forever!:)

Clarity on how long/what Military School is for Carl It's like Boot camp and boarding school mixed into one. Carl would leave for the whole school year and live at Military school until holiday breaks and summer. They do normal school curriculum and also prep kids for the Military.

i think season nine fiona and lip was one of the worst things to watch just because as smart as fiona is, she had a point with the dcf situation as well as giving his sponsee alcohol. i understand lip was upset, but she really didnt know, just like she didn’t know when or why dcf was coming. however! sis needed help with her alcoholism which is where i think lip’s rage is coming from and the fact that if she was a little more competent, the dcf incident may have went better than it did. that’s why i loved frank telling fiona she was a bad drunk

that whole episode was perfect imo. i loved how her actions finally had consequences and the fact that she didn’t even MEAN to do anything this time(unlike her attacking random employees and punching racist neighbors) is so perfect. even when she wasn’t trying to be destructive, it still happened and obv lil isn’t in the right for fully blaming her either. i just love when they make you question who was in the right and wrong. brings the best out of the actors too.

I really hate season 8 so much 😭😭😭 they ruined Fiona so much, the Gay Jesus plot was horrible, V and Kev just ended up as side characters, so horrible Imo i think that in season 9 and 10 they redeemed a litle bit but they ruined it again in season 11 (Maybe I'm biased but when i see the last episode of season 10 i always cry 😭)
