Lawyers are ruining the 🌎. Nobody MAKES anything anymore." This was the refrain every new year from my Dad's best friend -;an engineer. He undoubtedly put a wet blanket on my thoughts about becoming a lawyer... No 68 I know for a fact what "George" said is true. Legal Hors,"build" nothing 🤮

I was cordial with my co-workers, sometimes I'd go to lunch with them, but never partook any activities with them and never outside the work environment. Co-workers to me are just that, a working relationship and nothing more.

Should someone sign a write up or a pip?

I was in a County job for 35 years. Worked for the same supervisor for years and we got along fine. She was promoted to Assistant Manager under the Director but she still stayed until they hired a replacement for her. She really let that promotion go to her head, all of a sudden she was anal with me about everything. Scrutinizing my work finding fault with almost everything I did. One day I had bad stomach cramps and went to the restroom, when I got back she says "you were gone from your desk for almost eight minutes" and I said "excuse me for using the restroom. Then she tried to reprimend me for using the internet for personal business (she was having me monitored). Then she calls me in and tries to put me on a PIP. County rules were that before PIP I would need to be counselled with a counselling form giving a period of time to improve, if not a PIP would go into effect. I refused to sign it and she went ballistic when I told her she couldn't cause she didn't put me on a counselling form. After that I walked out and went to Personnel and turned in my resignation. Best thing I ever did. The same thing happened to my mother and she told me if it ever happened to me, to leave with dignity. Did exactly that, and made no waves. Now my ex boss became the Department Head and everyone dislikes her saw her recently and she looked stressed and she said "it was good to see you" and I said "I wish I could say the same" and walked away from her with her mouth wide open. Whatever you do comes back to you! Great video thank you for posting.

How to protect yourself from getting fired: save and invest, replace your income.
@DajourTaylor3 күн бұрын
Imagine living your life or a day wondering if they might fire you today so be it if they do they do their loss not yours most of those jobs be out of they minds and the wrong people be in power so don’t beat yourself down because things don’t work out because the job is failing statically and in having long term people so let them go thru the whole world until they run thyselves out of business. Then higher ups be quick to put the blame on anything else but themselves so when there’s is something to be done about it you might not know about it. You could be driving by and see your old job with a for rent 1 day you never know

Out of nowhere, I got an annual review that was positive on each individual point, but the overall comment was "Needs improvement on inconsistencies". Of course I asked my manager about it, because it didn't line up. He said it wasn't his comment, the new director told him to put it there. I asked the director. He didn't know, said it came from the senior director. I could not obtain an audience with the senior director due to his important schedule of attending 6 hours of meetings per day. A couple of months later, I got pulled into a video call where they said "We've talked about your inconsistencies, and for that reason we're terminating you", then wouldn't answer any questions.

My husband is a nurse he is the best nurse , he has been working there for 5 years , all the nurses doctors even the patient and patient family likes him , patient and coworkers calls him doctor he is only RN .He has a good decision making skill nice respectful and helpful to all , but director never offers him promotion , my husband requested to be promoted but director ignores him , I am also a nurse I am working there for almost 3 years I requested to change my shift from night shift to evening shift but they offered me hard unit that I never worked and took off my husband and mine same day off rotation that was given my previous employer, they want only people of their back home country to be promoted and listen to their request but ignores us .For me this is a big descrimanation can I sue the nurses director for her favouritism discrimination and racism?

For me it was suddenly being disinvited from key stakeholder meetings. I cleaned my office out that Friday and was laid off the following Tuesday. HR had quite a look on their faces when they asked if I needed help cleaning out and I told them I already did. Retirement has been grand.

Also: excluded from meetings, finding evidence someone went through your desk/files, restricting access to information, insults, ridiculous “feedback,” or anything that they think will set you off, and/or want to quit, no performance reviews for the first two years, then suddenly they start doing performance reviews, and my fave, attempts to make you look bad (by inept coworker).

This is happening to me, they cut all my hours and write me up for arbitrary things, when they were writing me up, they were practically begging me to quit because I believe the company is greedy enough to not want to pay out unemployment benefits. Fuck them, fire me instead.

I have a question about mandatory vacation days. My job offers a good amount of holidays that we can choose to plan. Now they are going to adjust our contracts so we'll be forced to take 4 to 8 (or more idk) days a year in the shutdowns (pharma). I know a lot of companies do this but I don't want it. Is there a way to discuss this? (I do work in a large scale company)

In Ohio all companies are right to work companies and can terminate you any time regardless of reason legally. I’ve also been a whistle blower before and been terminated immediately. I’ve had attorneys say I have a case, but paying $10k as an indigent person means I and many others never receive justice because we cannot afford justice. I’m battling an issue now for being arrested for not giving personal information when officers cannot provide the reasonable articulable suspicion. I could use help in taking this up to the Ohio Supreme Court but attorneys are saying it will cost $10k-$25k I had 39 days.

ok, so im a disabled, retired vet, three tours, worked federally in investigations for 3.5yrs following my service. I was employed as a teacher in GA. First contract was actually a good boss, but I resigned after my first year citing other teachers not wanting to work with me. However, with my second contract (new district) what got me was the verbal promises from my execs (principal, superintendent) and that changed ON A DIME! I got badmouthed to parents by the principal, literally NO support from admin and was left. It was ON! I knew they were going to fire me: when you begin seeing clearly manufactured events/situations go down in your classroom, you know.... you know the pitfalls and they're unavoidable, because this principal (they all do) has done this to multiple people in his career - and to top it all off, begin signaling to parents that the teacher is many things that are ugly and unsubstantiated.... yeah, you know you're gone.

How about ethics. Say what is right. What occurred. I think you are talking about dishonest people. Honest co-workers (friends or not) say the truth and unbiased. With all due respect, all your videos are based on dishonest people. Understandable given you are in a dishonest profession.
