Ya just drain it if you have Full tank that damn separator will start a syphon and about the time your wishing Ford would go to hell you are running around looking for more 5 gallon buckets to catch all that fuel people don't buy a Ford without the owners manual I promise a Ford should be 5000 dollars cheaper without an owners manual

Afternoon, been a while since this video was posted but hoping you may see this. Planning on installing same system on my F-250 this week. Was wondering how it held up. The compressor seems a little more exposed to the elements than if it were above the spare tire. But that is a much more challenging install. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks again!

Great video. Those speed bumps I try to avoid will find a way in the parking lots to go around them. Just here gathering data to see if i want to spend the money on fox 2.0's for my Silverado.

This was a fairly good write up, I admit I had to go looking for the water separator. Was a lot further back than I expected (it’s under the bed), and also the fuel return fitting snapped right off with almost no force so I had to repair that as well. The orange fitting to the left is crazy brittle and delicate. Apparently very common issue but it’s not available locally.

What happened with this repair? I think my transfer case just gave out in a extreme muddy 4x4 situation. I got a see dealer yellow warning and a yellow wrench icon in the dash. I turned the truck off and on, the yellow icon is gone but I don’t think I have 4WD.

I don't see how that is a reserve. It's not a reserve if you drove to 0 miles to empty then you then put 29 gallons in the tank. That shows it's a 29 gallon tank. If you drive a number of miles after you get to 0 miles to empty then you would have a reserve.

Thank you for making this video. Always nice to be able to see what you’re up against before hand. I naturally always assume that anything on a GD Ford will be a total cluster f!@k but that’s because I started out a GM man. After servicing/repairing thousands of GM vehicles I consider Ford products to be a slap in the face to a guy who just wants to do a job without all of the suffering and anguish. Maybe it’s just me. IDK. GM Delphi Weather Pack connectors versus Fords BS. Need I say more.
