Aw Britta, thank you. I got your email!!! I’m sorry, I’ve not sent the parcel yet…it will be sent!!! I’ve still to send Darcy’s hers too…and it’s even longer!!! I’m awful, but it will be sent. 3 of my paintings were selected, I’m gonna do a post…but the big news is I entered 6 of my dads photos…and they were all picked!!! I’m a bit jealous 😂 Try using your non dominant hand or closing your eyes, that will stop you drawing tidily 😂❤️❤️❤️

@brittahansen8688 I just watched a French lady with her quirky home (Danielle jacqui), literally covered in beautiful abstract faces. Obviously I couldn’t understand a word, but that didn’t matter. That’s the goal you need to aim for 😂🤣😂❤️❤️❤️

@@quirkyqueens Yes, very interesting indeed. Did you know the celtics had mask brooches? I am interested in the celtic culture, it is mystical since there is not much to refer to. As far as I know there was a huge celtic stronghold close to where I live in Germany. Art is a fun way to learn about former cultures, isn't it. 🤗👩🏼🎨🎨

I did not know this!!! I’m going to research. I was at walker museum in Liverpool a couple of weeks ago and they had a big section devoted to ancient masks from around the world. It was fascinating. Naturally I came home and ordered 4 books (very cheap) from eBay to find out more!!

Hi, I’ve been adding a bit of baby oil to the cotton bud tip (second most recent video I’m sure-it’s black and white in the thumbnail). It gives a smoother glide in the paint. 😊

I think its great that you didn't give up after a few pulls off the plate, when you thought it was too busy. I probably would have given up and missed out on the fantastic finished result! ❤🎉

Hi Heather, thanks…to be honest this nearly ended up being abandoned. It’s rare I give up, but this was close!!!!! 😂 My answer is gold, I made this at a time I was putting gold in everything…just waaaaaaaaay more on this than usual. I have framed this one. I keep it and the tartan teddy one as a set. ❤️🦋❤️

As an artist you have to do what an artist has to do: create. And you created alot! I love those pencil sketches in your little red sketchbook. When you go with the flow there is so much good stuff coming out of you, Kirsten. But - and I am saying this out of experience - trust your own impulse, don't mind others opinions about your art wether they are good or bad. It was a pleasure to hear from you again (although your sweet scottish accent is sometimes a bit hard to understand 😉). Mara

@kokoslores9666 I’m the same. I put everything into YT as it’s long form so like a timeline of progress and actual connection. Other sites are just a brief moment, like a book cover. YT more like reading the book (not this clever Mara, actually watching a video about book arts at bainbridge island museum 😂).

@@quirkyqueens Yes, I agree. I certainly do like YT alot because it provides quick access to numerous themes. On the Banijay Home and Garden channel for example you'll find the art documentary "portrait artist of the year" from Battersea Arts Centre. Very interesting, no matter what kind of art you like. Watching other artists helps to find your own style. But most of all your feelings of joy and effortlessness are leading the way. 👩🏼🎨🎨💞

Thanks Machteld!!!! Day is made!!!!!! I’ve recently discovered this through finding Asger John. I’d love a book about it, but they’re so expensive. I’m really pleased to hear this as I like this type of abstract art the most. I’m also very into Gillian Ayers work, her books are also expensive. I need cheaper tastes!!! 🤣❤️🦋

Hi my dear, it´s just as if you had read my mind - I must admit, I was beginning to be sort of curious about what you might have been up to . And that is really a lot! 🤩 I like the shapes and colors of your pieces and fell in love with your blue three- finger- hand- painting. It spoke to me right away, because the forms are so clear and it invites to look at all its parts in a very relaxed way. Well done! I haven't finished the Adobe After Effect program because, frankly my dear it's a huge software program that can do some really fantastic stuff. Go on KZbin and watch some videos about it, And see for yourself what this software is capable of doing. It's a beast for sure. Last semester we've just started scratching the surface of this iconic software. We'll be studying this software for a few more semesters. It's a huge gigantic monster of a software program.😵😝😲🤓🤪

As always love love love. Try using a piece of plastic bag, instead of paper, to get the effect you were looking for on the line transfer.

I was in Liverpool at the weekend when I got your comment (it says 5G but I struggled to get internet anywhere, even the hotel charged for WiFi which suggests it wasn’t a one off). @quirkyqueens I can not wait I think you will love it. I put the piece of plastic bag on my gel plate and use a palette knife to spread it thinly. The plate is like a second set of hands. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with it 😊
