I know this is an older video, but I want you to know how much I appreciate your Walk n talk series. I suffer from POTs (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and so intense exercise is very difficult for me. A friend recommended your channel, and I am just so grateful. It keeps me moving. So, thank you!

Jessica, thank you for a way to ease back into fitness. I am just at 100 pounds overweight and I have been talking myself out of movement saying I just can't. That isn't true. I can. The smaller movements are movements and that is helpful in the bigger picture. Thank you for always being so kind.

I've been a viewer of yours for probably close to 10 years. Found you on YT then went on to even buy your DVD's. I was a mom determined to get fit without paying for a gym membership. Exercise, Yoga, and time to myself are ways i destress. Please continue these one mile walk & talks. I enjoy listening to your advice while walking as it keeps me distracted. On my struggle days I tell myself "you can move your body for at least 10-15 mins). Usually im able to get through the exercise & feel lot better. TY

I love getting out in nature for stress relief as you suggested! Sunshine and fresh air can work wonders! Another thing that I find helpful is prayer. By thinking of my current problems/stressors in terms of how impactful they might be throughout eternity, it helps me to put them in perspective. And it also gives me more patience, sympathy, and love for anyone who might be causing me stress.

It’s not just to relieve my stress, it gives me a reset to my day. I put music on and walk the track at the school where I work. Lucky for me, we are located next to a farm, and I watch things grow as the year progresses. On a clear day I see snow mountains. I also hear children laughing at recess and birds singing. It’s a great way to clear my brain.

Just want to say Thank You Jessica. I hope you know how much you impact us women and our lives. My weight loss/exercise has been on a yo-yo roller coaster over the years. Mainly because I don't put myself and my health first. But I always come back to you. You make it easy to come back to after a break and you make it challenging when you start to get back in shape. Thanks for making a positive healthy impact to our lives.

Great advice, Jessica. As clinical counselor, these are the very things I share with clients to help manage stress and anxiety. However, what I do to relax and de-stress are; working out; kickboxing (for a really intense day), HITT, strength and cardio. My favorite, stretching. Ahhhh the relief. On my late days and weekends I wholeheartedly enjoy sitting on my porch (in the morning), with a cup of coffee, listening to the birds (love the woodpeckers) and praying. It helps to start my day. I also like to sit on my porch in the evening (weekends), and watch the sunset. With a glass of wine (every know and again). I practice deep breathing during my work day and on the way home (mostly late in the evening), as I prepare for a workout. Again, sound advice. Reading, taking naps, talking, listening to music, journaling, knitting, needlepoint, etc... All are great ways to relax.

This morning, I was feeling sluggish and didn't feel like working out. I made a deal with myself to at least do this short video. By the time I finished, I felt motivated to do a short Pilates video afterwards so I ended up doing 30 minutes of movement today. Thank you so much for this series!

I'm recovering from COVID-19 and today is my first day back to exercise in over a week. Although my infection hasn't been bad, I have been sick; and I wasn't sure what to expect from my own body, so I decided to go with this walk and talk. It's a good start, and I feel like I'm getting back to normal.

Thank you for everything you put into these videos! I found this channel about 2 years ago. I was 50 lbs overweight and needed a life change. I started a new “lifestyle” and changed the way I eat and started working out 5 to 6 times a week. I lost 50 pounds and have maintained my weight! In addition, I worked hard towards a promotion, my son left for college, and my father was diagnosed with incurable leukemia. I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through the last two years with my sanity in tact if I wasn’t working out. The walk an talk discussions have been so inspiring. To top it off, I had surgery four weeks ago and have not been able to work out and lift. It has been so hard being idle! The walk and talks are perfect for me to get back into moving and my workout regimen now that I have been cleared to do so. I still cannot lift anything for another two months, but I love the options you provide. Thank you so much for what you give to the community on your channel! 💕

I wish that you had been around in 1983 when I started making fitness a priority. I was overweight and unmotivated. I love massage for relaxation. They also help keep me in my job which requires me to be hunched over people's mouths all day. :-) I can't afford to have one weekly, but in-between, I use a wooden roller on my feet and a tennis ball for my back. Thank you for being so down-to-earth and inspiring.

There are a lot of great ways to relieve stress. Depending on what's stressing me out and how much time I have available to me, I choose different activities. Sometimes, I write a list and check it off, and that simple activity calms my stress. I also pray; walk or pet my dog; walk dogs at the animal shelter; cross stitch or embroider; listen to music and sing along. And, of course, work out!

Hello Jessica (and Peanut)! I love the walk and talk series as well as your other workouts. I would like to suggest one topic for the walk n talk series : Can we have one on "how to not get affected by others emotions" ? My stress reliever is: sometimes sport, especially when it is Ice Skatin (but where I live it is very difficult, there is only one ice rink and it is 30 min away from my house)....a good bath, watching a movie or show (takes my mind of the things) but mostly reading and creative activities...painting, writing, sewing...I do hats and hair complements as a hobby and when I have time to sit and do one or part of one I am so concentrating I forget about the rest of the word.

Someone suggested personally to me about doing a full body check. I tend to clench my jaw and my shoulders and don't even realize I am doing it. I may not even realize that I am stressed in that moment, and then I am like, "why am I clenching my jaw??" lol. So I will try to start from my head and down to my toes and just relax everything, unclenching what is clenched up, and breathing deeply. Another one is visualizing a peaceful place and using your senses to feel like you are there. For me, there is a waterfall about 20 minutes from my house. I can't always go there, but I can close my eyes, breathe, and 'listen' to the water crashing, 'feel' the warm sun, 'see' the blue water and the giant rocks....etc. Also, someone suggested music which always lifts my mood, and someone else said a 'brain dump' which also is another way I find helpful to destress. Thank you for this walk n talk!! I have had a stressful year and this is a perfect one for me to do over and over (and take notes on everyone's suggestions!!!)
