Did this circuit 3 times with some heavier ropes mixed in for fun. If I had tried to do this three months ago, I would've been on the floor after the first circuit, and now I can do this 3 times and will do a short run as my "cool-down." For newbies, stick with it! Gains are fast! So fun.

Same here.... I've been doin it for a month now.....I do 6mins totally..... I'll do 20 secs jump ropes and 40 secs rest... Because I can't be able to do it without rest...atleast the pain is gone now....In total,it's a 6min work out.....Any suggestions?.....Is 40 seconds rest too much and I'm at 80.6kg.......But the pain is much less now with that 40 seconds rest

Really nice workout. it has a variety of movement and its good cardio without overstressing any kind of muscle. Perfect for rehabilitation after chronic pain treatments.

So I just needed a 'reboot' by watching this video! Thank you. I started jumping about 2-3 years ago and started with this rope. However, over time, have leaned towards heavier ropes with probably the 1/2lb being my favorite. Through recent challenges, have picked up the 1/4lb again, but have failed to find my rhythm with it and would more often than not, swap to the 1/2lb. But now, having just watched this, I've realised that I was trying to use the 1/4lb rope, but with heavier rope arm placement! Thank you, the 1/4lb is back in my workouts.

I'm gonna start this on the weekend after I buy my rope. I'm overweight and since working from home I've put on even more. Well it stops now! I'm going on a journey and I hope to lose 2-3 pounds a week. I'll be back here in a year. Wish me luck!

I started jumping rope 🪢 in the spring 🌼🌱 of 2023 & I am still 🆕 to 🦘 jumping rope & it's going to be about 2 or 3 years before I even show improving at it. As long as I keep trying at it I will improve & that's my goal 🥅.

The prob is should I do it after my weight lifting workouts or before, or on separate days?l But that’s really hard since I use the push pull legs workout routine.

All up to you and your goals. If you're looking to gain muscle mass/lifting is your priority, do that first!

Don't do cardio before lifting. Warm up, of course, but keep your energy. Otherwise, your lifting won't be as effective. But After the routine, it will help burn calories. Cheers

Can the mat somehow lessen the sound? In the house I live in, you can hear anything even by just walking in the hall. If not, what are the ways to lessen the sound? I'm just renting the room so I cannot do big alterations.

If you have never jumped rope, start with one circuit 3 times a week for a couple of weeks. If you feel good, increase to 4 days a week for 2 weeks. If still doing good, 5 days a week. Then try 2 circuits every other day with 1 circuit the other days. If you do too much too fast, you will get injured like I did.

Do as much or as little as you want. I workout 4/5 times a week. Just skipping and body weight exercises. No more than 20/30 minutes a time. JRD have so many to choose from. Eat well, rest well and enjoy it. You will see results within 6 weeks. But you need to be consistent. I tend to be up from 6/6.30am and just get it out the way. Fast for as long as I can and drink a lot of lemon/lime water throughout the day. Just do the thing and keep moving.

Thanks! calorie burn depends a lot on your size, weight, metabolism, etc. You can search for a calorie tracker to estimate the calorie burn for you! Do the thing! 💪🏻
