Each mass shooting to most people, is a tragic and detestable true crime reality. But In Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, when 12 year old Daniel Bever calls 911, the typically quiet town will be exposed to how an obsession with mass shootings and mass shooters, like Columbine shooter Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, led to an unthinkable massacre.

And so i get it about wanting to slightly shield your own children from the "CRT" TEACHERS, THE "BLM" "LGBTQ" CLASSES COURSES, POSTERS IN ROOMS, TALKS BY TEACHERS EVERY SCHOOL DAY, AND THIS HUGE PUSH NOW WITH HOW WE ALL NEED TO ACCEPT "PEDOS" AS LOVING PEOPLE WHO JUST CHOOSE TO LOVE ON BABIES, INFANTS, TODDLERS, LITTLE BOYS AND/OR GIRLS, AND PRE-PUBESCENT YOUTHS OF AMERICA, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!!!! THIS IS WHY GOOD AND GOD TRUSTING , WELL EDUCATED, WELL SPOKEN, NOT STUPID, AND CERTAINLY NOT DEGENERATE OR INSANE PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF, HAVE BEEN FORCED TO REMOVE OUR GOD GIVEN AND PRECSIOUS GIFTS , WHICH ARE OUR MAIN REASON FOR LIVING , FROM THESE "SCHOOLS FULL OF SATANIC , EVIL THINKING, EVIL DOERS", WHO ONLY PUSH IDEOLOGIES THAT CREATE MORE DEGENERATE AND HORRIFIC PEOPLE WHO ARE UNABLE TO MENTALLY HANDLE REALITY ONCE THEY GROW THE HECK UP. It’s the dispatcher’s responsibility to keep the caller in distress on the line as long as possible until the emergency units (paramedics/police) arrive at the scene and gather as much information as they can. Some 911 operators really infuriate me, why couldnt she say like help is on the way, hide somewhere and only come out when you hear sirens. the way she is talking like a non-interested teenager wont give one any reassurance that if she is even taking any notes.
@amr5427
@amr5427 8 күн бұрын
It's really easy to be critical when you know all of the details in hindsight, while watching a video. You're falsely conflating a calm dispatcher with a "non-interested teenager." Dispatchers who freak out would be ineffective and detrimental. The dispatcher followed protocol and first had to find out what help was needed and the location. Without that information, help cannot get there. GPS is often not reliable to relay locations to 911 centers in a timely manner. She had initially been frantically typing, sending officers to the home, and they were already on the way while she was still engaging the boy on the phone. The older brother had also found the other siblings locked in the bathroom nearby, even though they weren't talking on a phone. He was searching that area, discovered the locked doors, and tricked them all into letting him in. That call was critical to get help there. While officers didn't make it in time to save those siblings or parents, other lives were spared. These cases affect everyone involved, including the dispatchers. You just don't readily see or hear it, as they need to stay composed to do their jobs.
@shadamyandsonamylover
@shadamyandsonamylover 7 күн бұрын
@@amr5427being composed isn’t the problem I think here. The problem is that if I was scared and calling 911, the last thing I need from them is to interrogate me while talking loudly over the phone while I’m being as quiet as possible. I agree I don’t like how the dispatcher handled the call. She didn’t offer any comfort to the victim and from the other side of the phone just sounded clueless. It doesn’t really matter what she was doing so much as what she was saying.

I am a grandmother also, but I was molested in the 60s by an uncle and a friend of my father. I also had a cousin murdered at a campground when she was 13 years old. I had an uncle who shot an ex-friend in the 50’s and a cousin (not one that I was ever acquainted with) who murdered his family in the 80s. So don’t fret, Grandma, things aren’t worse than before; we just didn’t hear about it back in the day before internet was around. Evil has always been around and always will be around. From what I heard in the background, she was quickly typing as she was talking, and seemingly sent officers as soon as she had an address. The older brother had also found the other siblings locked in the bathroom nearby, even though they weren't talking on a phone. He was searching that area, discovered the locked doors, and tricked them all into letting him in. This dear boy was fearful for his brother's safety and relented to his pleas to be let in. Officers had already been dispatched and were on the way while she was listening to what was occurring on the other end. Especially with officers going into a high risk situation, as much information as possible is helpful to also protect them, so they are able to protect others.

I knew the family. They were allowed out of the house. Bowling, church, skating, homeschooling group… Robert had a job. They spent many days together cooking, baking and doing normal family things. I personally saw it. Field trips, vacations… they had just spent the 4th of July at a cabin on the lake… I know everyone likes the thought that the parents neglected them, makes people feel better about it. But April and David were not neglectful parents. If anything they spoiled them. Our Mom group saw that.

@@stevemorris6790 It’s actually pretty rare that being brought up like that causes people to be crazy like Robert and Michael. Many children are raised conservative. I know, I know, it’s so hard to believe that Robert and Michael had some messed up DNA and it didn’t raise its ugly head until their late teen years. April and David made a lot of mistakes. Most parents do. No one sends you home with a manual that covers it all. In spite of all the monitoring things they put on their computers, the boys found their way around it. They needed to get the internet out of their house. They wanted to be famous like the Columbine boys. Their family was just in the way. They had to remove them to fill fill their plan, it wasn’t cause they were abused. It surprises me that more people don’t get that. They knew to steal the Suburban, they had to kill their family. To get the order of ammo delivered, they had to kill. Those boys weren’t thinking about any abuse. But it makes people feel better to blame the parents because truth is, this could happen with anyone.

I’m not making excuses for April for not taking it seriously. However, Crystal did not say they were abused. The BA police invested a lot of time looking into the accusations of abuse and found no evidence. David had cameras in the house that recorded a lot. I am sure no one here was at the trial and was actively talking with people that are in the know, but imaginations run wild and so many just can’t fathom that kids can just be crazy. If Robert and Michael did this because they were abused or neglected then why not save their siblings? Get them out of the abuse? Robert had a job, knew how to drive and had a bank account he was saving up to buy a house with? Why? Because he was crazy and wanted to kill people. Not because April and David abused them and certainly not because they were held captive. Who goes from boastfully carrying around Autumn like a good big brother one minute and stabbing little Victoria the next? Crazy people. Were their other signs mom and dad missed? The dispatcher followed protocol and first had to find out what help was needed and the location. They cannot always obtain location through GPS in a timely manner and need to verify it. Without the location, help cannot get there. She had initially been quickly typing, sending officers to the home, and they were already on the way while she was still engaging the boy on the phone. While they sadly didn't get there in time to save that boy, other lives were saved. It's easy to be critical when you know all of the details in hindsight.

@oliviacase6417
@oliviacase6417 8 күн бұрын
@Meme-uz5yy I understand what people are saying, but the reality is that everyone here has context of what was happening on the boy's side of the line, the dispatcher didn't. Here is some context that isn't given: within 11 seconds of receiving the 911 call, police were being dispatched to the magnolia court residence. Within 2 minutes of the call, officers were pulling up to the house. That is absolutely incredible and should be commended. The audio that you hear in this video is not what the dispatcher heard. Several factors affected communication in this call in ways you may not have considered: the audio equipment is terrible at that comm center, to the point where we would avoid certain desks because the quality would be so bad; the software from the phone company was not the greatest as there were often call quality issues that got better and worse daily; the boy had a slight speech impediment making understanding difficult; the audio is also enhanced and captions are added in this video, making it clearer for you to understand. Regarding your questions: Why did the dispatcher not remain quiet if the boy was whispering? The information the dispatcher asked for was: location, situation. She got the address and heard someone was attacking the family. That could mean so many things and you need to try to get more information, such as if weapons are involved, where are the attackers now, what do they look like, does anyone need medical attention? If the boy was in a break-in situation, the dispatcher absolutely would have kept quiet, but this situation warranted asking for more questions, especially since domestic violence situations are the deadliest kinds of calls. As for why the dispatcher called back: can you imagine if she didn't? Put yourself in the shoes of the dispatcher in that moment. It's 11:30 at night in a quiet tulsa suburb and you receive this call. Can you imagine not calling back after hearing what you heard on the line? Absolutely not. There are few 911 calls where the dispatchers AREN'T criticized like this dispatcher here. That's ok and it's an understood part of the job. People don't have context and they only hear one call. What they don't understand is that this dispatcher probably took a non-emergent dog barking noise disturbance call minutes before this, then a minute afterward, got a call about someone parked too far away from the curb. During an 8-10 hour shift, literally anything can be on the other end of that line and you have to be constantly ready for anything. Knowing the context and knowing the skill, experience, and dedication of this particular dispatcher, I don't think she could have done any better.

I agree, I did wonder throughout the video where the Parents brothers, sisters, Aunts Uncles, Grandparents were. But then realized when the Mother was married at age 15 and allowed to do so, there was dysfunction in that family also.

Not 100%… because the brothers themselves had that EVIL inside them! Parents have a big part of the responsibility too, but ultimately it’s the brothers themselves who made the decisions they made!

Why didn’t the emergency 🆘 dispatcher take that poor 12 year old boy seriously and act far more quickly. What a disgraceful example! What happened to the two brothers? So tragic for the poor family RIP

She did. They both gather pertinent info from the caller and dispatch police/medical at the same time. That’s what the typing is you hear in the background.

I agree, I'm always shocked at how inefficient American 911 dispatchers are compared to British 999 operators. They waste time and don't seem well trained in comparison
@DD-wd7ku
@DD-wd7ku 19 күн бұрын
@@Sh0cks420- don't you realise that emergency services are dispatched right away. The dispatcher then keeps the caller on the line by asking questions while relaying info to the response teams. Maybe some do a poor job, but in this case, the dispatcher did everything needed to assist in the appropriate response.

Detaching them from the outside world and yet the parents allowed them to use the internet freely? Really? Internet is the most dangerous place and ground for anyone specially to kids these days. But to learn that these two boys did what they did was just for all fun and notoriety and wanting to become famous, is beyond anyone... Their totally sick from the start!.. 🙄

I honestly don't understand nor can I fathom how any parent or parents can keep their children from society and completely seclude them , that in itself screams disaster waiting to happen,its not healthy to be secluded for lengthy amounts of time , this is Absolutely horrible and tragic but unfortunately a tragedy like this was inevitable 😢😢😢😞 💔

Robert is psychotic, you can see it in his eyes. The parents abuse is horrible but the killing of the innocent children shows this was not about revenge on the parents. Otherwise they would not have ruthlessly murder the children also. Unbelievably sick and evil.
