You said shedding water weight is easy. I have this issue, I cannot seem to she'd my water weight. I swell up so badly and my legs pit all the time. My doctors are stumped by this and even with the aid of medication I cannot seem to shed the water. Please any advice you can offer I will be truly grateful. Side Note: Turmeric seems to help to a certain degree

@@ezerlarosa6913 Spicy foods stimulate an endorphin rush, more so in people with a lower tolerance to it, but still to a degree in those used to it. Spicy food boosts metabolism, which in turn burns calories, and may be attributed to burning belly fat. However, you have to realize that the body is complex, and no food will burn fat from a single part of the body. The body doesn't burn fat incrementally, it takes energy from whichever part of the body it deems useful. Spicy foods have also been shown to reduce the risk of cancer in communities who regularly eat spicy cuisine. One caveat to spicy food is that those who consume spicy food usually consume more carbs as a result. Also, one way of alleviating mouth burn is with sugar; that's infact how the Scoville scale was created. So, if you choose to cool off your spicy food with a sugary beverage, then you've defeated health benefits.

@Abhishek Biswas Sleeping hungry is actually not harmful at all. Hunger is a feeling many people lost and is not a bad thing. As long as your stomach is not cramping up and you're feeling sick it's actually very healthy. This is called interval fasting.

@@Lukk0r very true i think. Since i started with intermitted fasting (eating from 1pm till 8pm only), i see my fat percentage go down. That is, i see less belly fat in the mirror, because wheight isn't going down much as i also started crossfit a while ago, which gives back weight in muscle ;)

@F-zero91maru I believe you since about until 1 and a half years ago, I was super lean and jacked. Ate a lot and I ate what ever I wanted with no diets or anything, but I trained 3x a week muay thai and KB and 3x a week gym (6 out of 7 days training). Then I had a year break due to coke and when off, binge eating burgers. I recently started to do training like before, but not as intense as I use to. Since I gained weight (25kg) rapidly I now must train and diet at the same time. Trying to get on a good path again. Wish me luck!👊😎

This is a great list. Learned some new tricks and was reminded or affirmed of some I knew. I would add two more that I've found helpful, especially for people who have difficulty avoiding carbs. Overnight oats using water and adding cinnamon and Walden Farms Maple Syrup (I usually eat a cup of oats which is 300 calories). And then stove popped popcorn with nutritional yeast. It's about 400 calories from popping 5 tbsp and using a tbsp or so of olive oil. Nutritional yeast gives it a cheddary taste and packs nutrients and low in calorie. Both will keep you full for quite a while and high in fiber, nutrients and decent protein for a carb.

Exactly, it’s best to avoid the dieting mindset altogether. You gradually change and improve your nutrition and eating habits, going straight to something like the keto diet overnight is setting yourself up for failure. Dieting and cutting shouldn’t even be done if you don’t already have optimal nutrition and eating habits.

Re: pickles, they are pretty easy to make at home. You don't need to can them for long-term shelf storage, just make pickles that can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 or 3 months. These do not need as much salt, and you can customize the flavorings to your liking by adding things like mustard seed, garlic, and a large variety of fresh herbs. The same technique can be used to pickle other veg like carrots, garlic, onions, and asparagus.

A nice trick, that helped me and probably others too is related to late night snacks. Brushing your teeth right after the day's last meal will somehow prevent you from eating anything or drinking anything with sugar, therefore you might end up avoiding eating more (if the hunger persists you could boil some herbal tea or something like that /no sugar) or simply drink water up the point you will feel full for the time being.

RaeSkye just green tea in the boiling water and nothing else. Some people like their green tea with honey, but I like it plain.

Be advised that consuming excessive smoked foods (like jerky) causes stomach cancer (which is a health issue in Japan as they consume a lot of smoked meats). Moderation and variety is key.

Hey, great video but you say a high protein diet is needed to loose wheigth, right? But don't we need carbs for muscle building also? I am a beginner and still learning all the things to know about food and training. I started Crossfit 3 months ago and intermitted fasting 3 weeks ago, to try it out. I can see i lost weight (especially fat) allready.

Should add Kroger’s ‘Carb Master’ Vanilla, Regular, or my favorite, Chocolate milk. These are amazing tasting, very low in calories, high in protein, and lactose free! A little pricey but soooooo worth it and soooooo good!
