What a pleasure it is to watch You working on the beloved 1198. I thought I would be the most crazy owner of a 1198 with all my upgrades and cleaning sessions, but You are a real wizard and all I see that You are doing is awsome. - My 1198 SP is now 11 years " young " and got 85.000 miles on the speedo. Every single minute of maintenance work is payed back by this great Superbike while we drive it, or even sitting in the garage and looking on this beauty. Many thank for lots of ideas and improvements Your share in Your videos !!! Real enjoyment to watch !

On cleaning the plastic bottle think baby. Use the same cleaning fluids you'd use for a baby's bottle, it works a treat.

Awesome work man. Following with interest. Be sure to fill your coolant with the bike on its side stand.

Great videos, don't even have a ducati. Bmw XR. Try putting grease around air filter as well. Helps seal edges for small imperfections

the MRW is the way to go.. chop those tubes off so you can check your coolant and your all good. unless your going 150 mph all day long.. plus look how's small the tubes are going in and how big the exhaust is going out..

You know the forks where lower to increased trail to make it turn, supposed to improve cornering. When you go to the track ride it then change it back and see which you prefer. Let us know.

Now I'm curious as to how your bike charges the battery as I didn't see an alternator .Nice work as always.

Pretty much every modern bike runs a stator and regulator/rectifier setup. It's essentially magnetically driven off the camshaft. Any needed voltage runs the systems and charges the battery, and extra voltage is shed off as heat by the rectifier.

There is no such thing as a weak link in electrical systems. Unless sth which breaks, like a fuse. Its rather so that just all the losses add up and maybe the thin cables were a big part of the loss.

Excellent job on the Ducatis!! Do you know what the code p1289 means to Ducati's?
@PracticalEnthusiast
@PracticalEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Sorry, I haven't come across that one before. Quick Google search says that P1289 is either a Chrysler or Ford code? How did you find this code on your Ducati?

Hey but I would really appreciate a reply but can you adjust the throttle cable from the throttlebody I got a Ducati 1200 Diavel
@PracticalEnthusiast
@PracticalEnthusiast 2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can adjust it at the throttle bodies but you should start by adjusting it at the twist grip first. Much easier to access 👍

@PracticalEnthusiast

It should be there. Check under the headlight cowl. There should be bulges in the cables and that's where the adjusters are.

Coming along nicely. I used the exact-start.com cables here in the U.K, which are similar to what you have used, on my Multistrada, they are definitely an improvement but, a bear to route correctly.
