Yes stock internals, this car had our 3" turbo back exhaust, it is not suggested that you run this on the stock exhaust as it would be too restrictive. The downpipe that comes with the kit is 3", so if you wanted to do your own exhaust, you would need to adapt it to the downpipe.

Yes the test car was an Automatic, it has been tested and confirmed on both the AT and MT.

I have a bone stock 2012 Corolla I bought it new it only has 41,000 miles on it. It’s also a 5 speed manual which was the last year. It supposedly has J-Spec from factory,and I’m really thinking about dropping a full turbo back kit in what have anyone seen or have any idea where to start. If you are in boost a lot, more power = more air and more fuel. However, if you are just cruising around, staying out of it, we have seen mileage stay in line with what people were getting before the install.

From what I know soo far, this turbo kit will be compatible. A six speed gear box conversion for this thought would be recommended (IMO). It's more a matter of fitting it in and remapping.

Jakobi Baker unfortunately our 09-13 turbo back exhaust is only bolt-on with our turbo kit. With some fabrication you could most likely mate our exhaust on your car, but it would require cutting and welding. Thanks.

Jesus, the car in this video is running 8.5 PSI, which is how much boost we recommend; the car also has our 3" turbo back exhaust. Correct, the internals are stock and we designed the kit to run on them, the only thing you will need other than the kit is a free flowing exhaust. I have a 2012 corolla. I did some work on it like dc sport headers, 2.5 custom exhaust with borla rear exit, and k&n cai. Would the turbo kit work with the mods I did to my car, and it's an auto.

The header and CAI will go since the kit replaces it with our turbo specific header and intake. You will also need to merge our 3” downpipe to your 2.5” exhaust (or go with our full 3” turbo back). Otherwise it will work. Thanks for your interest!

Since we don't have that model here, there would be no way to tell for sure. But since it's the same engine we would suspect the manifold, turbo and turbo outlet pipe would drop in place. The rest would most likely require mods.

+Edgar Cuello - Your probably in the $8-$10K range for parts (estimated budget). Since the stock motor can't hold that power, you will have to build the motor. That will be one of the larger expenses. You'll also need to run a different ECU, larger turbo and additional options on the turbo kit to support that #.

Do a compression and leak down test, if the motor is healthy, it has a better chance of lasting. If it has any issues, even small, the turbo will magnify it.

Yes and No. The engine should be fine for 7-8 PSI, but the kit was designed for the 2009-2013, we have not tested it on the 2014+ at this time. We have ha a few customers custom install the kit, but we don't have an exact list of what the differences are going to be. You will most likely need to modify a few pipes as well as custom install the AEM FIC piggy back as we do not have a plug n play harness option either. It could be a successful project, I would suggest a budget in the $4-$6k range and expect to have some downtime with the car while things get sorted. Thanks for your interest.

One of the things that I noticed about your turbo kit for the 03 corolla with the 1zz is the air filter is behind the engine kind of low. Would be best to have it more where the stock air filter was to avoid problems with large amounts of standing water when it rains?? Here in Florida we get some nasty rain during the summers. thx

It's not too low and protected by the motor and the wheel well, we have never had an issue with water on that kit. However, if a customer is concerned and wants to fabricate something to move the filter, they are more than welcome to. Thanks for your feedback.

They can be very reliable when installed and set up properly. Keep in mind, there are always risks. Age and mileage of motor, etc. If there is any small issue with the motor now, the turbo will magnify it. Good news is that 1ZZs are relatively low cost in the used market. So it's not the end of the world if something does happen, which isn't the norm anyway.

Jakobi Baker we have a full stainless steel mandrel bent 3" turbo back exhaust which bolts perfectly to our kit, and we can offer it in a package deal. If you wanted to use your stock exhaust, welding would be required (and install a CAT). Tech strongly suggests a high flow exhaust with the kit to maximize power. +Edgar Cuello - Maybe, not sure what motor will drop in and handle 350WHP and cost less than building the 1.8L tho. I think on that platform 350WHP is going to cost about that much no matter which way you slice it.

Actually that is right in line with what an AT 1ZZ makes at the same boost on the same DYNO, if anything probably a bit more on the 2ZR-FE. If you are talking about the 2ZZ, well, start with more power, end with more power.

actually no its not, i bought your turbokit for my 2007 corolla s, before i turbo'd it i only had i,h,e, added the turbo with some pulleys and greddy emanage im making 255hp and 230tq with just 10psi tuned, i can make more just need some cylinder work and add some better valve springs and ti retainers. the 1zzfe and 2zrfe are completly diff and the power curve is better than the 2zr

and as for the 2zz now that engine responds to simple bolt ons and turbo kit nicely, im getting a 2zz turbo soon its making about 280hp with the turbokit from you guys.

mark true spurs fan Our experience on our Mustang DYNO is low 200s from a the ATs. If you are making 255 on a 1ZZ, those are great numbers. Is that a stand alone?

yes full standalone, transmissions getting some work after my car gets out the collision shop. they wanted to total it but i was like fuck that i have to much work put into it to lose it so if all goes bad im taking my performance parts off and put them on my next 2zz car and the rolla s can go back to stock

dude this old car is fitted with lots of artificial help so it is very bad for such weak engines to sustai supercar accelerations. if you insert these things int a real sport car like amg or m sport hey will also run like bugatti veyron. so this does not tell you anything about car performance

Should be, only difference between them that I know of is just the appearance of the vehicle and that the engine uses Dexcool. Engine and transmission is Toyota
