Tone and Tighten you’d have to drink lots of protein shakes and lift very heavy weights, I never had the patience for that type of work out

I totally agree, it does a similar job to cardio without the crazy jumps exercises! I'm usually in my room working out late at night so always trying to keep jumping minimal due to tenants!!!!!! Thank you so much. Def interested in more dumbbell workouts!

Best part is you don't have to lie on the floor except for the push up part so you can do it with minimal space! Hands down the best hiit tut on yt

Hey man - thanks for the workout. For any reading: I am asthmatic - and it's allergy season. Exercising can sometimes be incredibly difficult, and I often end up spitting up mucus when pushing myself. And for this exercise I did have to take quite a few breaks, sometimes up to 5 minutes between reps. But I didn't stop until I did four of each. I'm glad I didn't - I think some of the stuff I spat up was clogging my lungs and airways. Still hurts to take full breaths, but less so: I probably need to do more stuff like this to just be healthier in general. If I can do it - a skinny asthmatic (also a wimp likely, compared to the likes of whomever's reading this) - most assuredly you can. God bless, folks.

I really liked this workout and gave it a try 2 days back, I haven't been doing weights so thought I can spare 30 mins and it was great doing the first time. 2 days later I find myself getting out of breath (more than the pain) in 20 seconds into the 3rd exercise and beyond. Any tips on how to keep pushing, since 20 seconds may not help at all? The reason I chose this workout is that I want to focus on strength with HIIT, I am 5'10 160lbs, so not overweight but just some extra in the belly! I don't want to lose weight rather build strength with weights at home.

vishal - I would recommend 2-3 times a week, with rest days in between. On your rest days, you could go on a walk or a bike ride (just simple cardio activities) and then do this again the next day if your muscles are not sore. I hope that helps!

I had lost 5 kgs in 1.5 mnths with added muscle mass, a year ago by this exercise and intermittent fasting. Now, I've gained that 5kgs😭 Restarting this exercise again from tomorrow almost after a year. Wish me a good luck ! 01-05-2021

Wouldn't it be better to do the whole routine and then cycle through it 4 times instead of focusing entirely on one specific movement for so long?

The idea is to work that area to fatigue until you move on to the next exercise. You COULD do it the way you mentioned, but it would be easier and not as fatiguing to the muscles. Good luck, airbomb34!

@@toneandtighten your reason is best. Additionally, setup (of dumbbells) inefficiency would also be problematic in a, "do all the exercises in 4 go throughs" approach.

Lose track of 30 sec. Please add audible timer to workouts. Frustrating when 30 sec has passed but I’m still exercising or resting.

Good workout! I've been doing it for a while and it's one I actually look forward to (although I sometimes reconsider about halfway through overhead squats, hah). Would love more vids like this (especially with a workout/cooldown included so I don't forget to do them...) Perfect. 1)It is follow along so you don't need to do any prep (no timers/sets reps planning etc..) 2) The voice over helps you correct the exercises while you are doing them 3) It feels like you have a gym buddy (which is what we miss most) 4) Awesome burn. TIP: Have different weighted dumbbells ready as all exercises cannot/don't feel right with same weight through out.

You could try a traditional squat or keep arms up but don'tt use weights.

Love this workout. I've been using resistance bands for all except renegade rows and lunges, since I only only have 10 lb dumbbells. Good routine.

I already tried this. I love this. I will buy 10kgx2 dumbells to add weight for this exercise♡♡♡ Anyway, just suggestions Please add sounds for the time (begin of 30s and end of 30s) coz when I do the reps I don't really look at the timer.

It is arnold its named after. Also at the top of that press your supposed to rotate your arm outward to get the flex at the top as well. Almost like a controlled corkscrew movement

Is this workout good for body recomp? I am skinny fat. Obviously I need to sure up my diet, which I have done in the last month. But I was told I need to build muscle. I used to run 8-10 miles a day and lost a lot of muscle. Then I transitioned to hiit body weight, which was great, but I see that as an intermediate period for me to combining muscle building and cardio using heavy dumbbells. I do a lot of hiit workouts with weights, but I don't think I challenge myself enough with the weights.

Absolutely, Joch! Sounds like you're on the right track! I like this one because we're still hitting a pretty high intensity but we've added some dumbbells to it. Cut back on cardio and start hitting weights a little harder and you should start to see some of the results you're after.

Hey, I followed your routine. It is very good. I burnt out 350Kcal. Only recommendation is the push-up dumbell row is hard because I have a slippery floor and the dumbells slide. But It was awesome other than that. My watch showed me I am doing anaerobic exercise. I hope to do this often.

NICE,, but can this be split in half to maybe 15 mins. a working parent doesn't have that much time plus heavy weights like that will require more sleep and higher calorie intake...

Just a tip for us who still have wired headphones, if you could give more of a warning before you get into your set that would help with the pacing a bit. Great content though! 👍

I used 40's, 20's, and then 30's in this video. Pick a weight that's challenging but that you can still perform reps with good form. Good luck, Summer Soul!

Re-adjusting those weights will take like 2+ min, not very useful workout for a home setting with a single re-adjustable weight. You should design a program that uses one weight or uses weight in one direction only ie: you either only add weights to your dumbbell or remove weights.

I loved the standing obliques workout so much that I got to this video. U r great! Fantastic! I will follow along and actually do the workouts. The only suggestion I believe I could give for your squat overhead lift would be to possibly lighten the weight. This may allow u 2 more easily push your butt out to a true sitting position. Please use a chair to lightly touch your bum on. R your knees hurting? They go over your toes each time your bend. Please use a mirror for form or a quick glance at your knees being behind your toes each time u squat. And u say this 4 the next exercise. Truly. I am a new fan.

thank you for this workout. from last week of june 2021. my hbA1c was around 7.1%. and weight 94 kilos. started this workout 2x a day(morning, 2hrs after breakfast and afternoon,1 hr after lunch) last july for 3weks. i had acid reflux last august so i stop for that month. i started again 1st day of september until this october23,2021. got my lab result today. my hbA1cwas down 5.8%. and now i weight 86kilos. i do other 2 youtube video exercises from other channel. together with this workout. all in all 1.5hrs morning and 1.5hrs in the afternoon..my target weight,is below 80 kilos in the year end december 2021. tnx a lot👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏😇💪💪💪🏋️🧎🏃

I have done this three days in a row! Great it is . But only annoying things are when the workout starts there should be a ring . Second a continuous commentary in background does not let concentrate! So overall a good workout with same major distraction. Keep up the good work coach

If you can't get down in the squats until thighs are parallel to the floor, just put something under your heels: a 2 x 4 or a couple of plates, for example. The change in angle allows you to (in effect) squat more deeply while maintaining balance and a comparatively upright back.

Pick a weight that is challenging but you can still keep good form. Once that becomes easy, increase it!

It is hard to estimate because calorie burn is different for everyone depending on age, height, weight, gender, etc. I would suggest searching for a calorie expenditure calculator online!

I just finished doing this at the gym. Im a beginner so this is exactly what i was looking for except im not sure if my form was good but i completed the session lol. I couldnt do the renegade rows properly so i did them on my knees and took the push ups out till im stronger. Starting with only 5kgs dumbell. Thanks for this. Will try do this twice a week with my routine.

Try to do the overhead squat without dumbbells first or very light and work your way up to heavier.

Presumably you can come up with your own 7 compound exercises or substitute some of yours if a particular exercise proves problematic i.e., injury. Some of these may prove difficult for those with shoulder impingement esp the overhead press ones. Making sure of course you cover all the muscle groups.
