What I love about your practices is that you have a way to connect one movement to the other that is unique to you. Before finding your videos I used to do only practices teached by women (amazing teachers btw). But, having a man as a yoga teacher for me has been also a way to see that there are also kind, open and calm men out there, with a strong masculine energy but a grounding and protecting one. It's so fascinated how yoga is connected to how you see life and people. Thank you, namasté :)

They are challenging (this one was more focused on breath work), and you do two excellent things (both of you): you speak slowly but loud while you are explaining very well the poses; and you stay for some time in each pose, which allow us not to be all the time looking to the screan (that already made me sick once) and to adapt to the position. I am so deeply grateful for coming across your channel. I have loved yoga and practiced it for some years now, however was diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis a couple of years ago, and between several surgeries, my practice has fallen to the wayside. I found your channel and immediately connected with the way you host these practices and feel so renewed after each one. The little chat you had half way through during the forward fold almost brought me to tears because I struggle with feeling like I don't know my body/it doesn't move like it used to anymore, and I'm also battling infertility... what you said about already being whole just struck a chord. Thank you so much, all the way from New Zealand.

I have been unable to go to the gym now for 7 months due to vaccine mandates. It wasn't until I found your channel that I realized I could be strong, fit and in great shape doing yoga alone. I am challenging myself in ways I didn't know were possible! I have increased my flexibility, mobility, confidence and most importantly my awareness. My back and hip pain has been slowly improving as well. I have grown to look forward to my (almost) daily practice. I truly can't thank you enough for your channel and your content. Best way to start a monday!! I had a bit anger attack during the class, on the plank pose, when you said ‘5 more’ and then you spoke a bit and you continued with ‘4 more’ and I couldn’t anymore! So i got super pissed and said some bad words. Which actually, its very strange happening during yoga class. But the truth is, I’m pissed with some things happening now… so was a good cleansing! Also in the fire breathing at the end, and the alternate nostril breathing 😳 sooo much shit came out of my nose, that if I didn’t know, i would think I’m sick or something. Was a GREAT cleansing! For that I’m so grateful! Thank you for existing and bringing healing, light and awareness to my heart

I’m getting over a cold so I wasn’t able to do the nose breathing very well 😂 I’ve been trying to focus more on breathing through my nose, I got mouth tape and nose strips to help. But I feel like I breathed through my mouth more than I should have while growing up so my nose just isn’t very good at opening up and it’s not used to that much air flow. It’s difficult for me 😣 I hope it will get better over time as long as I keep focusing on improving it. I just started watching your videos a couple months ago, I have some experience with yoga and breath work but your videos are amazing, thanks for all your wisdom and experience ❤

I love all your classes and your wife's classes. This class also great. Although you should know proper kapala Bhati technique has a breath retention between each set of fast breaths(1 min retention between each set is a good start). Also each round of Anil Lom Viloma should have equal retentions(4-8 seconds is a good start then go up) between exhaling. These techniques are a lot more effective with retention. I would say the breathwork in this class could have been a little more challenging even if its being introduced in small bits. Thanks for a great class. Sorry for the wall of text

Thanks so much for all the videos and instruction they are immense, they saved me during the final UK lockdown. I have a question/problem. I cannot sit comfortably cross legged, I always have to sit against the wall but still end up with back and knee pain after 5 mins. Any tips on how i might improve this?

I do the seated wide leg forward bend holding a weight or medicine ball in the center. It takes me a minute but I can gradually get down to that position like Flo. I've been working on it for six months or so now and remember how frustrated I was that I couldn't bend down.

Hi Flow! I really liked this session thank you! But I do have a question about the straddle forward fold. I've been following your videos for a year now but I still cannot reach. It hurts and I think it is mostly because of bone structure. That feeling you describe is not there. Is there a way I can modify? Now I'm doing butterfly instead but that's not the same ofcourse. Thanks!

If it hurts and there is pain, see a specialist. We suggest structural integration via Anatomy Trains or Rolfing. Just look it up online and find a practitioner near you. Butterfly is not the same but a good replacement. If you add in a standing straddle forward fold you fulfill the same functionality.

Many movements cause me pain. I am writing this during the wrist stretching part of this video. My wrists hurt sharply during some of them, my legs and knees and ankles sometimes hurt during other stretches. I do not want to go too easy on myself or back down from any challenge. My muscle tension comes partly from anxiety and if I let my fear control me, it gets worse. So I am hesitant to stop just because it hurts. However I also do not want to harm myself and want an outside opinion from someone who knows what they are talking about. How hard should I push it. And how do I compromise between what causes pain in my body and my need to develop resilience? When I run, my muscles hurt, but that doesn't mean stopping is right.

Thanks for the reply. The post jiu jitsu stretch routine is how I was introduced to the channel. I’ve never stretched much and I’m looking for ways to be more mobile on the mats after returning recently. I did the advanced full body video yesterday and though it was a bit challenging I really enjoyed it. I’ll look into EMBRACE and IGNITE for a regular daily follow along.

So, I think I may have fibromyalgia or some kind of muscle issue going on. I'm a bjj purple belt and only supplement with this channel, 1 or 2 other yoga channels, swimming, and rare kettlebell/mace. I stopped lifting over a year ago because it became too much on my body. I thought just doing yoga/bodyweight/low impact swimming would help but I'm in constant pain all of the time and it feels like my body never recovers and is easily contracted/strained with light movements. Not sure what to do.
