This was the best of your episodes. It was so breathtakingly beautiful in so many ways. Seeing you in your dream to be creating this chapter of your life with such dedication to yourself and your vision, empowered and utterly inspired me in my own life to take my own dream along with new self love and self regard to a higher level. The Italian Alps, you and your Van Gogh artistic photography and attire, the crew that helped you and their youthful vigor and hard work, all this came together for a true art piece, a masterpiece demonstrating the melding of creativity, nature, one’s personal vision and the magnificent scenery in your beloved Italian countryside. Thank you for this masterpiece. 🙏🕊

Martijn, as a retired commercial photographer (Sony shooter) in the US, I am constantly amazed at how carefully you frame each shot and “measure twice, cut once”on all your projects. This takes time, and I cannot imagine resisting the urge just to “get her done”. I have metastatic prostate cancer and trust God that I am around to see your last video! New Patreon.

Here I am in Munich on my couch watching this team work and marveling at how you pulled it together. I was going to write another comment but Chris said it all. The miracle of social media. Martin is not a local, doesn't have a team of brothers and colleagues and cousins to pull together but somehow finds a few guys staying in a hotel with a pool and bored. I had tears in my eyes listening to this story. I am in awe of your progress Martin.

I just wanted to cry at the end. So many emotions. The beauty of nature in the begining, the order of the tools on workbench wall, the manpower and ingenuity to get the really heavy logs up close to the cabin, the way everyone worked together to put those beams in place, the closing camera shots and music. You are just a master at creating the most amazing vlogs that touch each one of us so deeply. Thank you so much. I feel so nourished by the experiences the vlogs generate as I watch your projects unfold.

Hello Martijn. Wonderful week! I felt you were carrying some unsettled emotions and I was a bit worried, but then you smiled when the rain came and I smiled with you. So happy you have your beams up! It was so nice to see the guys come to help you, your local farmer helping you get the beams to your property, so happy to see such wonderful people helping out. You are a very unique individual; your video brings me beauty, humour, peace, and a feeling of goodness in a world full of turmoil. Your tools arraigned on the wall look great! I have to say when you were trying to place the screwdrivers in your tool rack and they fell over, your motion to "scramble" them made me chuckle. 😊 It's those things that make your videos special, you show us "you" and I have to say I admire you. I liked how you explained all the methods that were suggested to you just doesn't work "on the site". You didn't mention the bird behind your rock, but I did see your tattoo on your left arm, you must like birds, and I feel when you get settled in you will build some nest boxes for them. I do hope your bird stayed to fledge her young. I'm excited to see next week, it's hard to wait. 😊 Have a safe and happy week. Love from Texas

The element that is most valuable with a group of workers tightly engaged in a potentially dangerous and physically stressful task is communication. I was very impressed at how your quickly assembled group spoke as a team and worked as a team toward a goal that none of them probably had any previous experience with. Great to have that done!

I kind of thought the crookedness of the old beams and roof was part of the wonder and beauty, but I get it,... when you have an opportunity to replace its very tempting to do so. Ive been wanting to say about your building,... I find it frustrating watching you tackle various tasks without the assistance of clamps. People see this and think that it's ok to do this. This is not a safe practice. You have inspired some young people to try to build with wood, and its so nice to watch. Your photography is wonderful of course, and well the place is just so beautiful.

I get, I feel, why you say you are not lonely there. And I am not quite sure which I enjoy more, the beautiful aerial flights or simply seeing you in your environment. It touches my heart every time. I love your life and I am so grateful that you share it with us. Here's to some rain - we need it where I am too. Blessings to you, dear human... you are a good one. BTW, those beams are gorgeous, and hopefully worth all of the effort that they are taking!

People helping each other is what this world needs. One of my favorite features in these videos are the cowbells. Every time they’re in the background it reminds me of my time spent in Switzerland.💖🍻🐄

...and the tinkling of the goat's bells that are smaller and chime at a higher pitch. It is charming ...makes me long to be in a "Heidi novel" with Heidi and Peter and the old grandfather! Or the possibility of visiting Martijn at least. I have an old (brass?) goat bell that was actually made in Switzerland ...it says "SWISS MADE" with a "2/0" engraved above that and an emblem of a goat on a mountain inside a shield above that. We used to have a cow bell with a wooden clapper as well but it seems to have gone missing. Got them in Europe when I was a child with my parents. Hope I can go back someday.

You bought two ancient stone huts. With a lot of hard work and help from willing volunteers you are well on the way to transforming them into your little piece of paradise. I am always amazed by your ingenuity as you measure, and saw, and build things like your workbench, your outdoor kitchen, and that superb crane. The drone shots are so beautiful, especially the final one, looking down on your "estate". Looking forward to the next episode.

So glad you got help from the local farmer and the fellas that came to help. I caught myself holding my breath at times when you all were putting the beams in place. So very glad that you all stayed safe! Have a great week!

@@mrjacktraeger Somewhat of a torture for humans as well ..... I find those bells to be discordant and bothersome ...... In my area of the world people put up wind chimes which are also a sound torture for the neighbors.
