Is it just me that finds the term "cysters" incredibly derogatory? Like it's difficult enough with the anxiety of the diagnosis and to be be patient enough and to deal with little to no improvement or even worsening of the symptoms even when you put so much effort into your recovery ; at times it is difficult to remain positive and motivated. To generalise patients with such a term ( "cysters") just doesn't sit well with me. Anyway, if it's just me, I'll just stop visiting this channel but I want to know if I'm the only one offended by this.

Is wholegrain a good substitute? I cut out white bread and rice and I feel so much better and I don't bloat. I've also lost a bit of weight without even excercise a lot.

@@skavi6349I feel like the term cysters isn't meant to be derogatory, and it's usually better to think what's behind someone's choice of words. It seems like a darkly humorous term to me🙂

It would be so cool to have like a PCOS camp. Like a retreat for women with PCOS who have a hard time (like myself) understanding their body. We would LEARN what it is OUR bodies need and don't need. An ind. Plan for each of us, while also enjoying relaxation lol. Im thinkin like spa retreat haha.

Oh, it definitely would. Where I live there is no support at all from the medical professionals etc so it’s like fighting yourself in the dark. As a woman with PCOS, what’s helped me to lose 75 pounds in seven months is three days of slow-weighted strength training (30-40 minute sessions) a week and going for 15-30-minute walks on rest days, and going on a low-gluten, low-dairy, low-starch, low-added sugars, and high-protein diet. Also, vastly limiting ultra-processed foods, and avoiding foods with bad ingredients (most partially hydrogenated seed oils, added sugars and sugar substitutes, dyes, some emulsifiers like carrageenan, certain sorbate, etc.-these can go by many different names, so learn what they are and know what you’re eating). Don’t starve your body, just feed it the right things! Nothing worked for me in the past, but this has, and it’s a long-term solution! I recommend following these guidelines and discover what works for you!

I've been trying to cut out dairy and gluten this month and it has already helped SO much! Tallene, do you have any suggestions for how to limit dairy & gluten rather than totally cut them out? And if I have those things, is there any way to know how long it triggers the system for? There are some substitutions I'm feeling totally satisfied with, which has been good to learn. I just found out that my testosterone is very high. My periods have always been irregular since it first started at the age of 15. By irregular I mean having a normal cycle/period 2-4 times a year. I was always told that my irregular period was “normal”, no doctor dig deep to find the root cause. They checked my ovaries via ultrasound and didn’t find cysts, so they said I didn’t have PCOS; however, I’ve had OTHER pcos symptoms such as: hair growth, insulin resistance, and now with the testosterone results I received I’m more than sure I do have it. I’m now 31 years old and just found out about my testosterone level through a naturopathic doctor. I wish I knew about all of this a lot sooner, but I’m glad I’m finally getting answers. It’s frustrating when doctors don’t listen to you. On top of what I already mentioned, I’ve had anxiety, irregular heart palpitations, high blood pressure for a little while (it’s normal now thank god), mood swings, insomnia, fatigue, and dizziness, GI problems. It’s taken me around 5 years now of going back and forth with doctors/specialists all to be told that my labs are normal and I’m just stressed. I’m so glad I found the naturopathic doctor that actually ordered thorough labs. Videos like this are extremely helpful, thank you so so much. ♥️

Wow! I tried a diet tracking my macros and exercising (I wasn’t eating a lot of sugar) and did not lose weight. I did keto/low carb and lost weight. I now want to transition to tracking my macros and exercising again. So far I gained weight because of the increase in carbs. It has been 2 weeks. I also don’t eat added sugar except for what’s in fruits and veggies (I wasn’t eating fruit when doing low carb/keto). I hope it works this time.

My hormones that produce eggs are extremely low as well as my estrogen. I'm 43 and not trying to get pregnant but I am trying to better regulate my body. Would you recommend this for someone like me? Hi I noticed that no one has responded yet so I thought I might. I was diagnosed with PCOS at 14 and endometriosis at 17. (I’m 25 now) I found that I do well with small amounts of brown rice if I choose to have it. White rice can spike my insulin levels quickly. I found looking at low glycemic foods help. PCOS can mimic diabetes at times so you want to do your best at keeping you blood sugar stable and cut the unnecessary sugar and starches that our body breaks into sugar. Find what release slowly and works best for you ❤️ it’s all a process and you’ve got this!

Hi! Hope you have a take on this. Is it possible to still have insulin resistance if your insulin and glucose tests are all normal? I have PCOS and Hashimoto’s. We thought my difficulty losing weight was due to an acute flare up of my Hashimoto’s hypothyroid, but once it was corrected, the weight still didn’t come off. It still won’t. But my insulin, glucose, and T tests are all within the normal reference range. Can the ref range still not be the right range for ME?

I gave up gluten/dairy the entire month of November just to test things out. The amount of relief and healing my body did was ASTONISHING. It healed my back acne, itching on my scalp (seborrheic dermatitis), heel and foot pain, inflammation in my hands and feet, lower back pain, fatigue, and major bloating. Then Christmas came and I decided to treat myself. And now it's the end of January and I'm still treating myself. 😭😭😭 Anyways, I am getting back to it. Not *just* to lose weight but to improve my overall health. I am too young to be this tired, exhausted, have no energy or drive to do anything. Maybe going gluten/dairy free won't heal all of that, but it will be the start of recognizing my triggers and healing my body and mind slowly. 🥰🥰🥰 I am not starting with weights just yet. I think I need to drop at least 30 pounds before I start that, so as not to injure myself. Until then, I will be doing the most simplest and low impact form of exercise--walking. Thank you for everything you do and for all the information you share with us freely. 💜💜💜

I've been struggling with PCOS and insulin resistance for about 6 years. Now I'm a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding this summer. Together with 4 other girls, who are basically elf-like creatures, while I will feel and look like Shrek between them. So in a panic I cut my calories to 800-1000 kcal a day for the past 1.5-2 months. I did not lose weight. I am too fatigued to work out as well as being always tired without being able to sleep. Whenever I try to talk to people about it they are sure I lie about the calories and basically call me lazy. Doctors told me to do FDH (GERMAN: Friss die Hälfte) which loosely translates to "wolf down half as much", which was nice and professional advice but sadly I'm not surprised. By now I'm scared I will gain weight if I tried a normal/balanced meal plan. Since eating less meant I kept my weight, this outcome just seems logical but I cannot continue like this, especially since my family also just started calling me lazy and basically a liar if it comes to my diet. This sucks😔

It can be very frustrating especially when being misunderstood and judged, look into some supplements for insulin resistance and confirm with a healthcare provider if it is okay for you to take them , such as the one recommended in the video ovasitol, berberine, vitamin D etc, diet alone without looking into the root cause of the pcos can mostly lead to frustration

I have no gallbladder n pcos i jst cant get the weight off . Dont know what to do caz my doc told me i shuldnt be gaining weight after gallbladder removal bt i gain so much 😭

I have the same. My doctor said to me that because they blow your stomach up to remove the gallbladder they've made your stomach bigger and that's why I've gained weight. I had it removed in 2021 and weighed my heaviest last year. I follow slimming world and lost 1st 6lb then put 10lb on over the winter. Have you tried joining a slimming world. I'm also dairy intolerant because of my gallbladder removal but I do sneak in cheese when I'm at home all day and dont mind running to the toilet every 5 mins.

Your meal plans are too much expensive. How can I afford that?

Well, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.

How long to continue ovasitol
@PCOSWeightLoss2 жыл бұрын
Many Cysters see great results after the first three months, those some choose to continue taking it for another three! It just depends on your level of insulin resistance 😊
