52Kards hey, I tried to release the pressure from my thumb but the cards don't "jump" forward. what do I do wrong?

Diaza, it happened to me also. just move your thumb to the back of the deck, I mean release the pressure from your thumb and move it backwards. Hope it helps

Two things that helped me are: 1.point your thumb where you want the cards to go and 2. Don’t bend the deck too much, a slight bend to create a little bit of pressure will work just fine and will also make it easier to control.

It's really hard to explain but after a bit of practice the "feel" just suddenly came to me. The right pressure and release. Once you master that you'll be springing cards like a champ! Don't get discouraged. Keep at it. It won't be long, I promise!

This will come with practice. Try shooting the cards a very short distance at first. Once you can do that neatly then slowly increase the distance. I hope that helps! -Asad

I’m impressed with your clarity and simplicity. I have started learning to shuffle from scratch 30 days ago. I finished an accelerated course in basic magics and I was FRUSTRATED with some flourished like this one, thinking I would not be able to even spring 10-15 cards in months to come. Did this at work for 8 hours basically straight. I work at a gas station so you can imagine the down time I have some days. Make sure you stick your pinky up so that you have a barrier on all four sides of the deck. This way, if you aim it correctly the cards will land squarley

1) Avoiding cards being bent by flipping them over every once in a while 2) Start it with a quarter or a fifth of the deck so you have to pick up less cards if and when it falls :)

you should be able to do it with Yugioh cards as well as these. I don't know what difference, if any, some of the holographic cards have though, so it might be slightly more difficult.

Keep doing more flourishes that need the cards to be bent. Dribble etc. This will make the cards soft and make it easier to spring.

Your video is the first video that i saw to learn the spring, the video is super simple and i will pratice the trick, and it turned out that the card on the top of my deck that i took to pratice live with your video was also 9hearts by chance :) now what are the odds for that to happen?:) Loved your video 52kards, you rock:)
