Thanks for the video! Wanted to be that guy: 3-in-1 oil is not a great option for lubricating the contact points of the sleeves. Oil will spin well for a short period of time, but also will pick up and hold onto dirt very quickly, and gets displaced when the bar is loaded with weight. For that reason I recommend LPS-2.

That's ok we sometimes need that guy! People use different things I just use and recommend this because it's also what I clean with and it's dirt cheap.

I live in a high humidity environment near salt water and my gym is not temp controlled, so I am constantly having to rub down and oil my shafts (I no longer open the garage door when I do it). This video is spot on and wish I'd found it before I was basing my knowledge on the Rogue site. I think the innuendos make the sleeve spin better.

I don't do it often. Even yearly is probably unnecessary which means you'll just forget like me. I only do it when I notice it's spinning like crap and once you've done it once or twice it takes no time.

This video right here is why I unsubscribed from GGR and subscribed to yours. I was cackling 😂 One other super cheap option I've used for rust on my bars in the past is Coca-Cola. Either wipe it down with a soaked rag if the rust is light, or wrap some soaked paper towels around the bar and let sit for a few minutes on heavier rust. Wipe it down with a water-damp rag, 3-in1, and good to go.
