Wonderful little video, it just needed to be about three times longer. Thank you always for your wonderful and very informative videos, I always learn a great deal. I collect plant dyes from my own woods here in the coastal mountains of northern California, USA. I have never actually used a proper fixative, glad to know that Alum is acceptable as a traditionally used fixative from the later Viking era. Greetings and Good Day to all.

You are VERY lucky to have so much information about your fore fathers.I'm a Celt (Welsh) There is NOTHING for me to go on.I can only presume that,as neighbours,The Celts and Norse were very similar.
