ADA Racing Goped Big Foot Lock down kit install and over view.

Here is a quick video of the install process of the ADA racing 3rd bearing engine mount and the lock down kit. It has been 10+ years since I’ve installed one. I hope this helps anyone looking into installing this kit.

How do you tune the walbro carb for start it my ped pops but won’t start what do I do

Hi just changing over my daughter's bigfoot to an ada 3rd bearing and lockdown the motor mount screws are tossed so what type of Allen head did you use also installing the ada clutch system as well

Off the top of my head I do not remember. I think they were 6x1.0 thread. I can not remember the exact length either. I’m between houses at the moment and my shop is packed up. I do know my local Lowe’s had a metric Allen selection and that’s where I bought them. If you take the screws with you you should be able to match them up. I wish I had more information off the top of my head for you!

Will the ADA 3rd bearing motor mount work with the factory frame spring? I’m considering just upgrading the motor mount and using the cable to still lift the motor off the tire. .

I believe it will! The motor mount has a place to mount the original clutch cable also.

Aaron, is the a special spindle needed for the ADA 3rd bearing? I ordered the “long spindle” recommended by DDM and it’s really short, and only extends 1/2 way across the rear tire. My previous spindle extends almost completely across the tire. Can’t I just reuse that?

Did you order a long drive spindle for a sport or big foot? They are different. You need to order the one specific for the Ada 3rd bearing.

Yes. But this is how it is designed. The third bearing support for the sports is a support on the other side of the spindle.

I highly recommend the lock down kit. Ddmracing.com sells everything you need. Best bang for your buck is the G290RC.

What about the clutch set up do they work ? Then no more cable clutch would that be the best set up ?

@@derrickwhite5543 use the lock down. It gets did of the clutch and makes it direct drive. The problem with the clutch is when the scooter reaches max speed, the engine looses spindle to tire pressure. With the lockdown you have perfect tension all the time. Down side is you can no longer idle at stops.

@@derrickwhite5543 the centrifugal clutch setups rob a decent amount of power. Too much added inertia for the little engines. The best set up is direct drive for the Bigfoot and sport applications.
